For a serrated blade dedicated to leather/rope cutting, I'd get a Tasman Salt SE or a Harpy SE.

I've got a USA (Red, White, Blue) Bali-Yo that I've been flipping for 2 years and 4 months, now. It has been dropped on tile and concrete hundreds of times, and there is not a crack on it.

The clip snagged a laundry bag, though, and bent it :(

I got rid of most of my knives and left all of my Delicas as my user knives. There simply aren't many knives that work as hard as the Delica. I especially like the FFG much, much more than the saber ground models. The blade is so thin that even when the edge is dull, the knife continues to cut and c...

Back locks seem to have a little bit of vertical play. I think I also remember people saying the same for most compression locks. Every other lock you mentioned should be free of vertical play.

As for horizontal play, that's more a function of whether your pivot is loose.

Good: Great blade shape, better cutting power than any knife I've tried. Bad: Too **** big! There is a whole lot of unnecessary handle space, making carry and handling uncomfortable; the blade could be fit into a more compact handle. I agree, the Military almost needs to be tip-down. I find it and t...

I have what is probably a dumb question. I've had several of the black baliyos for a while now and play with them constantly. I've never handled one of the color ones - and wondered what made them more than twice the price of the black and grey ones. Again, this is probably a dumb question... but I...

You probably didn't get the backspacer's nipple in the hole where it's supposed to go in the liner. That's usually the cause of a "bending backspacer."

When reassembling, do the lockbar last.

Well of course in that case, we're talking about one model, not "knives" in general. In the case of computers and computer components, every last model is made in china.

It's not everywhere in CA. I think that it has its upsides. It should stop stupid morons from driving off with the nozzle in their cars.

It depends on the state. In CA, a switchblade is only legally defined as a switchblade if it has a blade greater than 2 inches. A switchblade under 2 inches is legal in CA.

Check your state and local laws.

I'm not sure what you mean by that. Do you mean that if a picture is somewhere on the internet, you'll download it, re-upload it to a hosting site, and then link it?

I wasn't satisfied with the factory condition of the edge, so I immediately took care of reprofiling it a bit, after using my Dremel tool to grind a small semicircular choil at the heel of the edge. (This is standard for me; I do it with just about every Spyderco I get, to make sharpening easier.) ...

You mean, for you. For me, a fast, *reliable* opening, tip-up is faster -- grab and thumb open with no pinch grip. Possibly. Maybe your hands are different from mine or something, but I cannot find a way to grab a tip-up knife with my thumb on the opening mechanism (hole, stud) with any reliability...
