So far it looks like you'd have to make a compromise for a different knife. If you want to sacrifice the frame lock than you could go with one of the other sages or a chaparral LW. If you were ok with slightly different economics than a brouwer sounds like a good choice

I mean to me it would make perfect sense. Even scrap wood can be used for something even as simple as a door jam

I'm just wondering what spyderco would do with it considering their production volume. Would the remaining blade steel be enough for the original foundries to want back?

I don't think the slip joint has been released yet. I don't remember seeing it in their catalogue
