I have both but no pics at hand now. I like the Dragonfly for smaller jobs like letter opening, cutting plastic ties and other cutting which requires some precision. This knife is real easy for me to maneuver using that choil and handle. It's also decent enough to us around NKP. Like you said, the ...

Would you choose Dragonfly 2 or Centofante 3?

I am looking for a nice EDC and the Dragonfly 2 and Centofante 3 are both unique, nice knives that are very light. The reason I am having a hard time deciding is I love the wire clip on the Dragonfly 2 as well as the finger choil, while with the Centofante 3 I love how it is an insane slicer with a ...

Anyone have pics of it in hand?

My Ebay-snagged Centofante 4 arrived today. Perfect condition, smooth opening, centered blade no defects that I can find. Here's a pic with my Centofante 3. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/54775629/Knives/Spyderco/Cento3and4.jpg Now, just anxiously waiting for the Memory to ship! Wow, those are some beauti...

Dont get me wrong. I would love to have some of the higher end Spydercos... but I just cant justify the cost... So the standard Spydercos (Endura, Delica, UKPK, Native) and the Byrd line all get my vote. More expensive does not necessarily mean better. My Byrds have never let me down. At all.. not ...

I realize the Tenacious line pretty much has it covered, but since we are focusing on byrds I would love to see a leaf blade on a byrd knife. The leaf style blade is one of my favorites and there is nothing like that presently in the byrd line up that I know of.

Nope, never heard of Byrd knives other than "byrd" knives.

bdblue: Thanks for the pic of the byrd hawkbill! I haven't really paid it much attention, but that isn't a bad little knife for such a low price. I'm going to have to go check it out! I really like my Meadowlark 2 that I often carry for EDC when I am going to use a knife that could get dinged up. It...

I won't say I like the Byrd line better than the normal Spyderco line, but I am presently carrying my Byrd Meadowlark 2 in g10 as I type this. I really do like this little knife! I think having a separate place for Byrds would be a great idea! I think this would allow a lot of people just getting in...

Lansky Fold A Vee? First time I have heard of this. Any other thoughts about this sharpener anyone? I have a Lansky system which I like ok, but was thinking of getting the Sharpmaker. How do they compare?
Would love to hear anyone's thoughts!

I got the C41 PE Native. Since posting I have cleaned and lubed it again and again, and now with opening and closing it till my wife was about to go insane it is opening and closing a little easier. In reality I didn't buy this as self defense weapon, but as a work knife, which is exactly what it wa...

Stiff Native FRN

Just got my first "real" Spyderco a Native FRN! (I've had a Bryd Meadowlark 2 for a while now which I really do like.) I have loved the design of the Native for a long time, but it is definitely much better in hand! :D What I was wondering was, does the Native have brass bushings? It is ve...

Just thought I would chime in as I have had a Meadowlark 2 for about 6 months now. Other than the clip having a little side ways play, I really like this knife! It really fits my hand well, and is a tough, hard working knife that I'm not afraid to use. I have the G10 version, and like it much better...

One nice thing about the Native for the Lansky sharpening set is that since it isn't FFG it will get easier to clamp it together.
Anyone have any hints how to clamp a FFG blade with the Lansky system? The FFG blades always want to tilt one way or the other. Other than that, FFG knives are my favorite.

Yeah, yeah, I know this is an old thread, but it's really good to hear all the good things about the FRN Native as I have one on the way! Nice to know the pinned construction doesn't seem to be a problem.
Also good to hear that Spyderco will fix and clean a knife if it ever does develop a problem!

I am still pretty new to Spydies, but have had many, many knives over the years. About 6 months ago I got a Byrd Meadowlark 2 in G10. I can't say that it is the best looking knife out there, but I will say that for the price it is very hard to beat this knife if you are looking for a good tough EDC!...
