Very nice scores! I snagged both a 52100 mule and a M4 mule for $150 for the pair off of the local Denver Craigslist from a Denver fire fighter. Mine has quite the patina and was put straight to work.

There are no liners so a micarta model would be tough. I would think that a standard Native5 G10 would be a much better platform for custom scales.

I use a S110V mule in my kitchen all the time. It makes a good utility knife.

I carry a SAK everyday. They are affordable, high quality and the knife blades are ground nice and thin so they cut very well. Soft steel is about the only downside to me.
