Congrats on the Sage 1. The linerlock is great. The carbon fiber handles/scales are also very nice. The pillar construction and being open makes cleaning simple. Will serve you well.

Some of the photo's here tickle the crap outa me. It really is a dilemma. If based solely on use, my aqua salt's would get the nod. But when I look at my l'il zdp Ladybug and it's razor sharp blade, I know it's up to the task. The Dragonfly's are sooo much knife in a small, lightweight, and office f...

If you get any of these, be careful. I haven't cut the crap out of myself until trying to loosen the action on my blue Delica. These are SHARP from the factory. Enjoy and be careful. btw the blue is a little less offensive at work. May change the black clip to the stainless, haven't decided for sure...

I too am having a tough time getting a USN account established. If someone would be kind enough to PM me the code I would appreciate it. Hey broc, if I didn't know better, I'd say you sorta like the sage's and the Delica's. :) They are also both favorites of mine. How can you not like a knife that ...

The tolerances on the Chaparral are much tighter than the Sage. Imo, the pillar constuction of the Sage allows for easier cleaning of the knife. It appears the Sage could have been made narrower by slightly reducing the length of the pillars. The clearances at the pivot point are obvious. While both...

How many favorite Spyderco's do you have?

I got looking at the different Spydie's I have an tried to honestly detemine which is my favorite? After openiing and closing many knives, I finally came to the conclusion that every one is a favorite. Just tooooo fine. The Delica is delightful, the Para 2 is perfect, the Caly is incredible, the H-1...

Originally, I wasn't thrilled by my sage. When I saw the Taiwan not centered on the blade it sorta dampened my perception of the knife. Must say after use, it has grown on me, an now I find it an excellent knife. Should serve me well for years. Will the Spyderco craze ever end? I doubt it. Brilliant...

More compression locks...strong, safe, and simple. Micarta is good. FG Delica in micarta or cf with S90V and comp lock.......oh yea. Keep it deep. Pocket T-shirts. A T-shirt without a pocket is useless. Let us know when they are available.

My aqua salt's probably get more use than any other Spydie I have. This would definitely be a user for me as well. Hoping there may be some non-coated versions? If not, still be happy to get one of these. I would guess the spec's would be the same as the original catcherman? Dapagco sure knows how t...

Is there a way to reserve or prepay for a couple of these? I will be at work on Monday and won't have access to a computer. I try not to involve my wife in my knife purchases........if ya know what I mean ;) Also, is this a DLC finish and will some be without the finish?

Thanks Mike, for sharing your knowledge and experience. I don't buy too many coated blades but had to make an exception for the digicam with the DLC. It's just tooooo fine! One day I'll gift this to my son who is a Deputy. For me, the Para 2's are one of my nicest folders made......dern near perfect...

I wonder if the flat black touch-up pens made by Birchwood Casey for guns would cover scratches if they are thru the DLC? Don't know how the color would match? Gotta say I haven't used/carried my Para 2 w/DLC too much. Seem to carry the black g-10 plain blade or grey cts-20 more often.

Thanks, I'll have to check mine out. Has the knife been around moisture/water or did this just occur? Very strange. I wonder if this is happening on other versions? Guess I'll have to get all mine out and check them.

Don't think you can go wrong with either of those models. I have and like both, though the Caly 3 carries a little better for me. As another poster said "get both" you'll be glad you did.

Be careful with the Delica's, they can cut the crap out of you. I know from experience. The spyder bite can be quite costly. Spyders seldom live alone and their web will entrap you.
