Re: How often do you sharpen your babys

And this, kids... ( points finger at most answers in this thread ) ... is why edge retention is overrated. I came to this hard realization about 2 years ago. I really only need VG10-ish edge retention for my daily uses. I have had more demanding jobs that required more, but these days I ...

As far as I know Victorinox models that lock also have a back spring.

Re: Spyderco warranty question

I did not get it because I just figured Spyderco would charge me for the repair, and the whole transaction would cost the same as a new one. To buy a damaged second-hand knife with the intention of having the manufacturer repair it for you for free is pretty skeevy. Perhaps you should pose this que...

They have waved open on the draw when thumbstuds catch the pocket seam.
This happened to me a couple of times with some SOGs.

Also my PM2 has come open a couple of times clipped to front pocket.

Several knives, including backlocks have opened when dropped on hard floor.

Thanks, I have to find a comfortable way to get the knife nearly vertical
Use a lower surface to put the sharpmaker on. If the table is too high the range of motion is limited.

Re: oH tHe TiP iS ToO FrAGilE

Pro tip number 1: Dont pry with your tip :D Last weekend I visited a friend couple, I saw 2 SAKs displayed and went to "inspect" them. Both main blades' tips were damaged and the other tools didn't show any signs of use. I asked how did they damaged the tips and the answer was "openi...

Re: Knife opened in my pocket.

My PM2 opened a couple of times in the pocket... and I didn't even carry it much. I've never had a bakclock open in the pocket, and I have been carrying them exclusively in the last 7 or 8 years.

The counter puppies have a very similar profile to the Aqua Salt, they should work fine in the kitchen.

It popped'up in Europe (were they send them a bit earlier) so it's about to show up in the States as well
At which retailer? I can’t find it yet.
Coutellerie Tourangelle has it in stock.

Re: September 11, 2001: Never Forget!

I can't believe it's been 18 years already. I was getting ready for a day of classes as a freshman in college that morning. Incredible to think this tragedy happened half of my lifetime ago (I'm 36 now) Time really does fly, though it feels like it was just yesterday. Same as me, and I turn 36 toda...

Re: POLL: ENDELA: Who has already bought / will / will maybe / will not get one?

I don't plan to get one. The only reason is size, I never carry my PM2 and Pacific Salt. The PM2 is really a collectors piece and the Pacific only for some hikes.
I carry delica size 99% of the time.
