Sounds about right. Navaja has a tip heavy blade though so it's not unexpected.

I think only very few went out without GB logo, mine is the 1st gen solid liner and I bought it very shortly after release and it has the logo.

What will you be cutting when jogging and swimming to where a Tasman salt wouldn't work for you? Well, hopefully some food after coming out of the water. :D Wouldn't you want something in H1? A knife while jogging I get but swimming....I dunno. Yes it would be ideal, but I can't spend $70 on a salt...

How well does s30v stand up to sweat and freshwater immersion?

I want to clip a knife IWB while running and swimming, my atlantic salt is a bit large and tasman salt isn't a practical shape. I do have a black native, but wondering if it could stand up to being soaked with sweat and immersed in water. Just wondering if anyone has experience with s30v in similar ...

My opinion is all these tiny drivers will wear out more or less the same. Like non-stick pans, you can spend 4x the price and it'll maybe last 20% longer, so just buy cheap ones and replace as needed.

Despite his longer and loooooonger and looooooooooooooooooooooonger videos he still is one of the better reviewers, and he actually hauls crap up the mountain to test them.

I have nothing against the guy. He's an entertainer and an educator if you are new to the world of folding knives . That's an important point. Many people who are new take his words as gospel because oh he knows so much, but to many people here what he says is nothing new, it's just another person'...

That may be where the disdain comes from. He started up from nothing, got himself some credibility and now he gets all the cool toys. hats off to him. Or the fact his videos use to be precise and to the point, but since quadrupled in length and the first half is spend talking about irrelevant subje...

I just sold mine, it's a well made knife and all that, but it just didn't feel right. I guess there's such thing as too light, while I like light knives its minuscule weight doesn't corroborate with its large size. Plus the cost is almost the same as regular manix yet has inferior steel and cheaper ...

Mine's my swimming/running/cycling knife, super light and barely noticeable clipped to the lightweight sporting shorts, never have to worry about rust either. Although the utility function is limited, so I ordered pacific salt to replace it.

With so many people complaining finger could slip onto the edge, you don't have to hold it in saber grip as would a large knife. In fact for small knives like this it's best to pinch hold it at the pivot area, better grip and no danger of slip.

Now that you mentioned it, the handle of GB does look like Stretch exchanged a six pack for a keg, and perhaps t-shirt and jeans for tuxedo.

3.5 is much smaller compare with the knives you mentioned, in fact it's not much bigger than the 3. I have both but if 3.5 was in production when I bought 3, I probably would've gotten it instead.

Lol, this exact question comes up every other month. There are differences you can't see on paper, even though both are FFG distal taper, caly 3 is grounded much thinner in both tip and behind edge. I see caly as a light/medium duty duty that I'd carry in a suit, and sage as a work knife that looks ...

Newgraham is my favorite. Cutlery shoppe has minimum order amount, and ship via express mail only ($$$$). Plus their shipping policy is "we won't tell you how much it'll cost, give us your card number and we'll charge you whatever we'll charge".
