I like SurfG's idea using a sheath for underwater use, folder for EDC.
My two cents to add would make it almost 5 inch, serrated with a pointy tip.

Re: Is there a BYRD in your pocket??
Lovin' my new Raven 2, sharp as ever out of the box. Haven't really had too much use with it yet just little stuff like cardboard, plastic water bottle and it worked well. The G-10 is "grippier" than my Tenacious and I gotta have the finger choil.

Re: Crow & Raven 2 Full Review
Hi araneae, nice reveiw I too just purchased the Raven 2 getting use to it and liking it. Bought the knife to take the place of my Tenacious which I also really like no issues except ergo's really. I have been waiting to purchase a knife in this steel CTS-BD1, personally not a real hard knife user b...

The Mamba is great looking, glad Spyderco is doing more bowie/upswept style blade. This thing looks like a tank, and a flipper right?!

Re: Favorite "beater" or hard use knife?
Right now Tenacious plain edge. Sharp, great cutter & easy to touch up on the SM. I will let you know that I do have a Byrd Raven 2 on order that is next in the lineup for a hard use knife, the anticipation is hurting me.

Thanks Evil D for the info, I have a few patients with PF and nothing seems to be working for them, I will pass this info on to them, glad you found something that works.

Re: YOJIMBO 2 ~ C85G2?
Hi Boar, you can get a Yojimbo 2 trainer from staysafemedia.com or keenedgeknives.com. The trainer is licensed by Spyderco in limited quantities, check it out, mine is on order. Just my 2 cents, Keenedge knives makes some really nice trainers but get ready to wait for them, they are ssslllloooowwwww.

Re: Byrdie Hole?
Hello all new to the forum. I just purchased a CC2 FRN for my wife and she(we!) love it. The new Byrd hole on the knives was called a "Comet" somewhere else (I guess for the shape, it looks like a comet in action) which I thought was pretty cool. The knife is easy to open one handed right ...
