Re: Helping a friend

I have both VG-10 and S30v from Spyderco and I think your view is spot on. They are easy to maintain, have good wear resistance and not overly expensive. Both are good all around steels and difficult to go wrong with!

Amazing job! 👍🏻

Although I’ve got to admit, the thought of having that done to one of my own knives gives me the heebie-jeebies. :o

Jim
I know would not be brave enough to do that to one of my knives.

Well done job.

Re: Model longest in production

The Delica model has been around for a while. I used to have one that did not have a removable clip. The clip was molded into the handle. I wish I knew what happened to that knife.

Re: What Is Your Favorite Go-To Spyderco?

My favorite go-to Spyderco? Probably my Navigator II. Currently I have been carrying a Lil Native and I really like that knife.I just switched over to the back-lock from the compression lock. I am not overly fond of the compression lock but I got it at a good price and it allowed me to try it out. I...

I would love to get a set for the back-lock version of the Lil' Native but without any of the screw holes for attaching a pocket clip.

I can only hope this helps. Washer thickness: 0.008" Washer O.D.: 0.500 Washer I.D.: 0.214 These numbers are approximate. I measured the pivot pin to get the I.D. so you may want to add 0.001 to that number. https://i.imgur.com/pKOc0a8.jpg https://i.imgur.com/lkDhw5C.jpg https://i.imgur.com/Zwf...

Re: PRICING

I must admit that I didn’t read all of the pages of comments but it seems rather simple to me. If you can afford the knife of your desires and are willing to pay the price commanded then good for you. If you are not willing to pay the price then don’t and move on. No one is forcing anyone to buy a p...

Re: Which spyderco is in the mail?

I just ordered a new Lil’ Native with the backlock from the Spyderco Store. They had the best price that I could find on the internet. I am looking forward to trying out the knife! I have one with the compression lock (comp. lock) and to be honest it was a mistake for me to buy one with the comp. lo...

Re: Sal's Casual Bombshell Thread

Because the backlock CBBL is proven superior all around by knife experts! I’m guessing it's at least partially to keep costs on the lower side, and maybe partially due to limitations of the manufacturers. Have any budget line/Chinese-made spydies had comp locks? Edit: Whoops, just realized Sal said...

Re: Sharpening a Knife

I am the one who bought an older Sharpmaker, it would have been sometime in the late 1980’s maybe 1990. I think it was numbered the model 203.

I had to install a stove range hood today so my little Navigator ll got the job to open up the box. Worked very nicely for that job.

Re: Pocket clip decisions and preferences

I am a heretic but personally I do not like clips. They tend to eat up my pants pocket, if I brush up against something like a car it gets scratched and I feel that it ruins the feel of the handle in my hand. I actually scratched a car's paint with a pocket clip by accident. No pocket clips for me t...

I think the Navigator II and Meerkat fall in there as well.
