Re: Arctic Camo G10 Handle

I'd buy one. I like neutral colors, and this is different without being too bright and flashy.

Re: Why the hate of Zome?

The zome patterns have started to grow on me. The only one I own is my yellow zome Delica. At first I just wanted it because S30V is great in that knife, but I've begun to appreciate the color. I do think a yellow/toxic green zome would work well in the salt series as long as people were willing to ...

This forum is still one of the most civil places on the internet. People that cause problems tend to not hang around long.

Re: Which seconds sale knife are you most excited about?

I hesitated and was a little too slow at first. So I missed out on a couple that I wanted. Eventually I jumped at the opportunity to score a YoJumbo though. It's not something I was planning on getting, but excited might be an understatement now.

Re: 2020 Seconds Sale - SOLD OUT!

It was frustrating at times, but I'm really glad they were able to put this together. Overall, I thought it went well.

Re: Can we (civilly) discuss fixed blade prices?

The Bow River shows that it's possible for them to make a budget fixed blade knife in China. And the Chinese made Tenacious is or will be available in s35vn. So the Chinese factories are definitely getting better at working with steels other than 8cr. I don't know if they're made in the same factory...

Re: I need some pen suggestions

I like Karas Kustoms. Those are the only pens I carry anymore. Their clips are very overbuilt, especially on the Ink model, which was a major selling point for me. If you sign up for their e-mail notifications, they occasionally have grab bag sales where you can get pens with random mismatched color...

Re: Spyderco Viking Neck Knife?

I had to Google it as well. Beautiful, yet simple, and functional knives. The idea behind them seems to fit well with Spyderco. I'd like to see what their version would be like.

Re: Commemorative Knife Idea...

Since we should all have knives that been designed by the other 2/3 of the forum team, I'd rather see Kristi design a knife instead of choosing colors and materials. I'm sure she'd come up with something amazing.

Re: Best blade thickness for a small fixed blade?

Personally, I'd like something just a little thinner, but 2.5mm isn't bad. Also, it's your design so you probably have a really good idea what thickness is best for this particular knife. 2.5mm certainly isn't too thick to keep me from buying a well designed slicer, at any rate.

It does get easier as it breaks in. Also, I've heard that some people have had luck beveling the scales around the ball to get a little more purchase on it.

Re: Power Lock

The power lock is quite strong. I think there was a Cold Steel video testing the lock on the Tatanka against their Voyager XL or something. It's been a while, but if I remember correctly, both blades broke before either lock failed. Impressive engineering by both companies.

Re: SmallFly 2!

I think they'll sell quite a few of these. It's right at an overlooked price point for a bali. Right now there's cheap sub $50 bali's that are just dangerous toys, a few acceptable models around $100, like the Bradley Kimura and Kershaw Lucha, and higher end models like the Benchmades that run from ...

Re: Anybody still use CASH?

I live in a very rural area and work in retail. I'd guess about a third of the transactions I see are in cash. In fact, the local liquor store quit taking cards several years ago due to the fees. It's pretty humorous to watch people that aren't from the area trying to pay by waving their phones at r...

Re: What’s Your Favorite Underrated Sleeper Knife?

I'd have to go with the D'Allara 3. It had the potential to be a very popular model. I believe the cost of G10 models out of Seki City killed it before many people got the opportunity to try out such an amazing design.

I like that idea, but if they did something like this with a Swick, a coffee mug would be cool. Or a beer mug. Anything where you'd usually have a handle, really.

Re: NFL Season: 2020-2021

Things might not have been Landry's fault, but I don't think he would've taken the huge gamble that Jimmy Johnson did by trading Herschel Walker. Luckily for Jimmy and the Cowboys, that trade paid off and really turned things around for them in hurry.

I would've preferred that it be saber ground like the fradon lock exclusive, but I like 4v so much that I think I'll try to get one anyway.
