Re: Rush Limbaugh: Dead at age 70
He certainly made quite an impact on our society. He'll be remembered for a very long time.

Re: Yojumbo
This is what I thought too. Since getting one, I've found the YoJumbo works surprisingly well as just a general use knife though.

Re: Website structure
Flippers are a problem, but I'm not so sure they sold out quickly just because of flippers. I think that is part of the equation, but it's also Spyderco's new proprietary steel, the return of the mule team, an ever-growing fan base, etc...

Re: Yojumbo
I'm actually carrying the one I got on the online seconds sale right now. I carry it pretty regularly. I prefer bigger knives and really like the size of the YoJumbo. As for the detent, mine isn't quite as strong as I'd like, but it's still good enough. The knife is a second though so keep that in m...

Re: 2021 Forum Knife Wishlist
Some of the knife laws are just insane.
Anyway, I'll second the idea for a denim maxamet Military.
A slipjoint Lil Native or UKPK would be alright too. Honestly, I just didn't care for the inlays on the last forum knife and I already had too many PM2s.

Re: Others Spyderco Competitors
I don't think there's many companies that can compete with Spyderco's folders. Fixed blades are another story though. I have a few Spyderco fixed blades and they're definitely high quality knives, but the models I have seem to be lacking something in the ergonomic department. I find myself carrying ...

Re: Spyderco/flashlight match-up.....
i see a lot of big flashlights in here. how are you all carrying these and what are you using them for? before you think that's asked in judgement, i carry 3-5 knives in varying sizes usually, so know it's not judgement. i ask because it just got so inconvenient to carry even a aaa light and i've o...

An 8" version would be interesting. That's almost twice the blade length of the original. It's almost too big for my uses though.

Re: DLT Manix 2 Purple G-10 CPM Cru-Wear
I got the first two just to see what the Cru-Wear hype was all about. Now I feel like I need to try to get this one too. Cru-Wear is pretty impressive and the purple and black combo does look good.

Re: Who also wants a hump?
I've never had any use for it on the A.T.R. and the Jester is a bit too pricey for something I'd rarely use. However, if they brought back the Jester or used that blade shape on something Dragonfly or Lil Native sized, they'd have my attention.

Re: Tell us about your Spyderco Knife of the Year 2020
For me, it has to be the Tropen. It's slender and carries light but still provides plenty of blade length. The blade shape looks cool while still being useful. The wave is small so it's easy to pull it out of my pocket without opening it, and the detent is strong enough to make it a capable flipper....

Re: Seconds & used sale - a perspective
They went so far above and beyond in an incredibly short time frame just to have a sale that keeps their customers happy. I hope they see all the positive feedback and not just the negative.

Re: How Do Your Factory Seconds Look?
I just got my YoJumbo. It looks like it should except the grind is about a quarter inch higher on one side than the other. It's noticable. I don't have OCD, and it doesn't affect the function. I'm happy with it. I already like the design of this knife. I'm incredibly grateful that Spyderco gave me t...

Re: Factory Seconds Sale Follow-up
It took a while to get my tracking number. They've got a lot of orders to ship after that sale and the shipping companies are pretty overwhelmed right now too. I'd give them a little more time before you worry too much.

Re: Spyderco multi-tool?
Seriously, the Company has to play to its strengths. Asking Spyderco to make fiddly scissors and forged tooltips is like asking your pitbull to fetch the morning paper. It doesn't end well. My pitbull would do fine fetching the paper, but I see your point and don't disagree. I've got a Spyderench a...

Re: C-60 Ayoob Campaign: No I Won't Shut Up
One reason why I think it may not be SPY27 is that the maker needs to work with the steel first before they use it, right? SPY27 is a newer steel (and it seems to be in limited supply), which leads me to believe that it may not be that steel. I hope I am wrong. Seki has worked with S30V, Cru-Wear, ...

I thought going it was going to be a mess from the moment they announced it would be online. I'm very happy to admit I was wrong. It could've gone better, but for something that seemed impossible, i think everything went pretty well.

Re: C-60 Ayoob Campaign: No I Won't Shut Up
Which American steels have they worked with in Japan? I know they've done S30V, but what else? And that doesn't rule out anything. It just shows us what we know they're able and willing to work with.

BladeHQ has a Bradley Bowie/PE Endela combo for 265. It's a good deal for someone looking to get both.
