Re: Sintered Metals & Ceramics: Possibly In Spyderco's Fut
I have heard of Ceramic/steel combinations. But they were much to brittle for cutlery use, from what I've gathered and read.

Re: New Delica 4 Tight
Mine was dreadfully hard to close and it barely flicked open when I got it. A question to you guys, does yours have a bit of side to side play?

Double screw pivot tightening tips.
I just found out this one today, when tightening, get both sides of the screw just barely out of the scales enough to catch your nail on it, with CBBL's at least this seems to get it uber smooth and without play.

Re: New Delica 4 Tight
My Cara Cara 2, was somewhat tight from the factory, but not super tight. After a few months of use (And some hard cutting) a long with over oiling (Not suggesting this, I accidently put a big glob of coconut oil in the pivot) it became quite smooth and is still tight in the lock up.

Re: Disappointed With Caly 3.5
Wait, the Caly 3.5 lacks bearings? (Or washers, if you call them by part and not function). How does that work out?

Re: CBBL wears groove in "Tang"
I cleaned it. (pictures coming as soon as I can, I am pretty busy right now) It appears that the sharpish corners that appear when transitioning from the round polished tang area to the flat part where the ball rests, and the little concave part behind the choil have worn a little bit concave.

Re: CBBL wears groove in "Tang"
I need some new batteries to take a proper picture of the wear... Hm. Imagine .5 mm more or less grooved into where the ball travels and rests on the tang when it's locked. (And I've never put negative pressure on the blade except for the ever so often bump on a desk or something which doesn't even ...

CBBL wears groove in "Tang"
On my Manix 2 XL I've noticed that a groove has started to be worn into the tang, especially the corner part that transitions onto where the ball rests, there's a visible dip there. Is this a normal part of the wear of a CBBL lock knife? It's also got a polished section in the middle of the tang whe...
