Re: MT39P – CPM 15V Mule Team Dropping Soon!
Process was a little slower than last time, but not terrible, with no long hang-ups on any particular screen. Our internet is not particularly dependable, so it seems strange that so many of you get timed-out. Time outs can be from network distribution, so if there were a lot of people coming in fr...

Re: MT39P – CPM 15V Mule Team Dropping Soon!
The only advice I know, TazKristi posted at the start. The rest of it is waiting and trying to relax. Every time I am surprised at how my heart rate spikes while racing for Mules. I've had a number of technical issues that I have been working on from address format to my credit card security feature...

Re: CPM Cruwear chipping?
I am going through a similar experience that is different in every other way possible. We both have a blade that chipped when we really did not expect it. Me: Out of the box. You: Year old. You: Cutting with a knife. Me: Batoning with a knife. Me: Chopping wood. You: Cut cardboard. I have just finis...

Re: Always Everything Baton Life
By no means is this a "good" set up, but it is diamond, it works, and it travels easy. What the #'s compare to is random at best, I rarely use 150#. For this job, I stayed on 300# and scrubbed my Mule like a dirty dog for about 5 min. Ok, I honestly followed "good" technique as p...

No possible clue. Elastic ceramic is a good guess. I maintain the boyish dream that Spyderco will sneak us some Vanax one day.

Not much time for the sharping story, or the full story really. I thought this was notaebl. I will say there was no damage after.

Re: Always Everything Baton Life
I always sharpen the blade all the way to the finger guard/choil. Diamond bench stones are your friend Hello Fireman, No problem with the sharpening to the guard/choil/heel. From edge up to spine is what I meant by "ground deep," I do not know better terminology. I imagine the robot holdi...

Re: Always Everything Baton Life
I think sharpening is the first step to learn about a blade. Don't hesitate to update us after that first re-sharpening ! thanks for sharing I get where you are coming from. Lots of different entry points to understanding steel. For me, I like to sharpen dull stuff. Out of the box sharpness and per...

Close up pics taken with my phone's camera, just like all my photos. The phones magnification sees better than I do, however this edge, a person could easy tell by touch or trying to cut anything, that it is chipped and rolled. Always Everything Baton Life
I received an Aebl Mule and have never been so much, "on the fence" about a blade before. By my eye it appeared to be ground a little deep, and the leftover burr is obvious. I did spend a fair week weighing pros and cons of sending it back to Spyderco. Then, I reviewed the advertising mate...

Re: Graceful Transition. A M398 to Aebl Story
Thanks for the reply guys, In a way it does seem like the next hot steel, or exciting platform is like the next breath, always happening, even when I am asleep. I too am cutting expenses, keeping the powder dry for mostly Mules. As for change in the Mule Team program, it is nice to have a Mule in st...

Graceful Transition. A M398 to Aebl Story
I'm not the only one to notice how the M398 Mule gracefully transitioned to, "Out of Stock" nearly the same time the Aebl Mule came, "In Stock." No empty shelf, no FOMO, happy customers. Aebl Mule happily holds the title, "In Stock" until... well... The Mule Team has tr...

Re: A separate brand for Titanium knives from Spyderco ?
Branding requires paperwork. Paperwork does not put a knife in your hands. Working on production and the Golden factory does. No new brands for me. "Spyderco" has their paperwork done, I would like them to focus on anything other than paper.

Re: The sharpest object in the world can't cut anything
Like many things we can now observe at the atomic level, we are waiting for Quantum Mechanics to catch up. I really found this vid fascinating. Sharpness depends on what is used to cut, what is being cut, motion and speed, and how we are observing the interaction between the two objects. No such thi...

Re: Shipping of internal parts
I am fortunate to never need parts for any knife I have owned. I understand that people take stuff apart and loose pieces, occasionally stuff breaks, and whatever else. I have noticed some spirited conversation around this issue. I looked on Spyderco Warranty and Repair page, and there is no clear s...

Re: Any love for combo edges?
I just haven't felt a need for more plain edge than most "full" SE come with at the tip. The Autonomy 1 for example has about 5/8 inch plain edge at the tip and it does pretty much everything I've needed a PE for. I wouldn't be opposed to a true combo edge but it needs to be on a longer e...

I assure you guys the edge hasn't been touched. Its simply a bad photo. Here's a better photo. I don't know why im defending this Gem, but here you go. Its absolutely black FRN and has a factory edge. Is it just too unbelievable that I got a good deal on it? https://i.postimg.cc/Hxq6PYWq/IMG-5540.j...

It took longer for me to load the Forum page then it did to buy a Mule today. 1 only, saving and dreaming it goes this easy for the BBB 15V drop.
Thanks Team.
