Blue loctite does the job, just be careful not to get any onto the blade tang. A little bit goes a long way! I'm speaking from experience by the way :)

You NEED to get a SE Tasman Salt! It has the added advantage of being able to clipped IWB against the skin with no fear of succumbing to body oils or sweat, so it effectively leaves ALL your pockets free for other :spyder: 's. :D Stop it!! I don't need anymore Spydercos than I already have!!!...

I chose a black Para for my EDC knife, because of the extra corrosion resistance. If you have sweaty palms or often get dirt and grime on it, the coating prevents corrosion in hard to reach places like the jimping, tang, etc. Spyderco's DLC (diamond-like coating) is extremely wear resistant too. You...

The Pacific Salt. I have many other knives, but that's the one I use the most. Indestructible, rust proof, and a thick tough tip that won't snap easily.

spydutch wrote:I'll sure settle for the FG IF Spyderco managed to solve the vertical blade issue and the off centred blades of the Para

I'll buy 2 in full SpyderEdge then and sell/trade away my Delica 3/SE's ;)
What vertical blade issue is that?

The new paras with the new spine/choil jimping come with the corners of the tang already radiused.

Thanks! I'm actually a long-time lurker. I only registered when I got my new Paramilitary last year, intending to post some photos of it, but I never got down to it.

It would be best of Sal or Taz chimed in on this though! My previous post might make sense, but it's pure conjecture on my part :D

I'm guessing this was done to enhance the lock's security. I remember reading countless threads about spinewhack tests done on Spydercos, and a lot of lockback Spydercos failed the test. I think the reason for the failures wasn't that the lockbar was slipping out of the notch in the blade tang, but ...

Manixworld, quick question: is the lockbar spring tension of your new Salt I stiffer than the old one you have with the steel clip?

The steel clip on a Pacific Salt I've had for a few years finally started showing some rust where the clip meets the bolt screw. I emailed Spyderco about it, and they offered to swap it. That was last week; I just got a new titanium clip with bolt screws + a bonus 2008 Catalog and Retail Price Guide...
