Re: 2017 Spyderco Product Guide is LIVE!

Lots of very cool stuff I am excited about.

I am most excited about the new D'Allara. Already pre-ordered from KC. Any chance they will remove the back spacer and do open construction with pillars for production?

No Sage 3 in the catalog :( Will it be discontinued?

Re: SpydieChef: Jury is still out

Thanks for the input water_bug. Carrying my SpydieChef for the last couple days, it has already broken in better and I am liking it. I guess since it was my first Titanium on steel frame lock I was surprised (and impatient) about the lock stick.

Re: SpydieChef: Jury is still out

What is the longevity and durability going to be of the titanium on steel without the interface? If you use it as a knife and not as a toy (i.e., constantly opening and closing the knife for no reason other than to do it), the lock will outlive you. Hey, I'm human. When I get a new Spydie do I &quo...

Re: SpydieChef: Jury is still out

I am well aware that any knife is not for everyone. But SpydieChef is puzzling me 100%. Why would I need a folding knife on my kitchen? Or this is something like a picnic knife? Is not 3.3" blade kind of too small for food preparation? As the description says, it is not just intended for the k...

SpydieChef: Jury is still out

I received my SpydieChef over the weekend. I really like this knife. The ergos are great and it is the perfect size. This is my first frame lock without a steel interface and I'm not sure if I like it. It takes a lot of effort to release the lock especially if I flick it open versus opening slowly. ...

New Manix Releases

Being a huge Manix fan, I love all the cool new releases coming out. The new Maxamet and the CTS-XHP just to name a few. I am not however, a huge fan of the lightweight versions. I love the weight and the wire clip but the G10 Manix just feels so much smoother and well.. nicer. Please make some of t...

Re: How to improve the Manix 2

I prefer the Manix as is also and one handed operation using only the cbbl is easy with practice and more controlled in my opinion. What could make the manix cooler to me would be a ceramic ball and or a titanium cage. Would look cool and remove concerns people have with the plastic cage. I have nev...

Need more CBBL

The Manix is one of my favorite knives of all the time and I really love the CBBL. Easy one handed operation. Smooth. Strong. I know there have been a number of discontinued knives without the caged bearing but not many with the caged bearing a la Manix. Are there any plans to incorporate this wonde...

Re: New Custom Spyderco Slipjoint Design

Love the design and the size. I find blades just over 3" but less than 3.5" are perfect for edc.

This would be cool as a locking knife also.

I just went from the brown stones to diamond stones using a light touch.

Brown to diamond? Wouldn't you go diamond to brown? Courser to less course?

Doesn't the Roc kinda sorta fit this design?

Re: Give a Native as a gift.

Its a little bigger but the lightweight Manix with 110V would be a good choice. Too bad there isn't an s30v Manix LW The wire clip is sleek and not easily noticed. Weight won't be an issue at all. I carry a LW Manix in gym shorts and other lightweight pants and don't even notice it. I really with wi...

Re: Manix XL s90v/154 or s110v?

From what I have seen of s110v on my Manix 2 it would be a great steel for the XL version.

Re: Give a Native as a gift.

If you can swing it I would go with the G10 S35VN Native. I had a lightweight one and didn't keep it. The clip does not line up with the smoother Spyderco logo and always grabbed my pants. Also don't like the clip and ergos as much as the G10. They look the same but feel different. I wasn't sure if ...
