I'm a collector of sorts. I thoroughly enjoy the 'search' part of collecting. Since I travel quite a bit, which gets old real quick, having taken up 'searching' has added some enjoyment to my journeys. I search for those long discontinued gems that are so unique; I check out the pawnshops, little ma...

It is a neat idea, but it won't work because most folks who are buying from brick-n-mortar like to look at the knife first. I'm sure most of you have found tiny differences amongst a number of the same NIB model. That would make for a lot of broken seals. I have bought more than a few knives from th...

Merry Birthday, Sal. Thanks so much for your contributions to all us workin' folk in the world. I truly trust STEEL isn't a topic for you at ALL today. There's so much more to life than work. Take me, for example, being a porn star and all, the last thing I want to discuss or have thrown at me is be...

As previously mentioned, I am a SPOT fan when involved in certain activities. For instance, when riding particular vehicles, such as a motorcycle, an ATV, or a canoe, I don't want anything in my pockets, but I do want a cutter, so that little SPOT on the breakable chain gives unobtrusive reassurance...

Can the "Spyker" logo be removed?
Assuming the logo is acid etched, could one of you Spyker owners tell me if it's surface etched or is it deep enough to catch a fingernail? I really like this design but can't deal with that banner. Considering the talent here, maybe I should just ask this out right: has anyone successfully deleted ...

Spyderench Variant?
I picked up a NIB Spyderench that in every aspect appears to be a genuine Spyder-made wrench (not a Byrd) but has two things I haven't seen before: a large magnet drilled & inserted into the side of the bit holder, and a blade marked Spyderco, Taiwan, AUS-8. Variant? I would like to post photos ...

The forgotten SPOT
Me and my motorcycle had a date this afternoon, so before I headed out I went through my knife drawer and grabbed my micarta SPOT. I haven't really carried it much but it was a good choice. When riding my bike, I don't want anything in my pockets, no change, no keys, no nothing. This little knife fi...
