Weird spydeco
I want to get myself for the 50th birthday a weird Spyderco. I am trying to chose between Chinook 4, Myrtle and Hanan. What would be the most extravagant of Spyderco on the market today?

Any chance for Tuff reissue?
Just curious is there any chance that Spyderco would bring this model back to life?

Re: Alcyone a sporty gentlemans knife
Sometimes traction takes a bit of time and use to experiecne the design ans spirit of the model. Glad you're happy with the Endura. sal Sal, I decided to give another chance to Polestar. The trick was to get it dissembled and lubricate a bit. Action changes dramatically. Now I love it as much as I ...

Re: Which Spyder For Mr. Elon Musk?
Relax he can only do those hostile takeovers with companies that have publicly traded stock. Spyderco as far as I know is not a publicly traded company. If anything I would bet that Mr. Elon Musk would be intrigued and want to do business. It might be bad for all of us because if the Spyder bit him...

People please be careful in your suggestions or Musk buys Spyderco, and close it for good and gets all knives for himself.

Re: Alcyone a sporty gentlemans knife
Sal, over the years you made more great designs of knives than perhaps anyone else since Neolithic time. But what is the difference of Polestar/Alcyone vs Tenatious/Persistence? They are like a puzzle "find 10 differences" in my opinion. Yes steel is nicer, and construction is good but bud...

Re: Alcyone a sporty gentlemans knife
Sal, I am got traction with Dragonfly, Delica, Endura, PM2 and Harpy - knives of your classic collection and I am more than happy with A.T.R.2 and P.I.T.S. - knives you retired. All of them I got less than in 9 months after I returned that Polestar.

Re: Alcyone a sporty gentlemans knife
When I decided to get myself first serious Spyderco I got in my local store and after long deliberation chose Polestar. Get it home looked a little bit and returned it in exchange for Endura with extra $10 or something. Was happy ever since and added few more Spydercos to my collection. Just did not...

KnifeCenter has Spyderco Battlestation for $119.95. https://www.knifecenter.com/item/SP168G ... 10-handles. I overspent my money this year on knifes.

Aren’t most carbon steels flexible as a general rule though? Cold steel for instance has videos where they bend their fixed blades an entire 45 degrees, without any damage to the steel integrity. Bullfighting sword has to be extremely flexible and not to break if accidentally hits the bone. Same re...

Re: More Spyderco designs need to be made in Spain.
Historically Spain produced the best swords and armor all way up to 18th century. I also heard that bullfighter's swords are made of a very specific and exceptionally high quality steel. But would be this steel good for folding knifes I have no idea.

On a positive side despite Teflon washers knife is fantastic. Just curious if Spyderco use a permanent thread-locker on it. Can I disassemble it for cleaning /lubrication without voiding the warranties? The instruction booklet does not provide straight answer on it.
