Re: I need help/advice Sharpening M390

Also, I hope it is clear that it is not the steel that is giving you trouble, but the blade geometry. Well, I guess it is always possible that if the knife is not a Spyderco, there are issues with the steel, but I think that is really really unlikely. Still learning for sure. The sharpie trick is p...

I need help/advice Sharpening M390

Hello and thank you for reading my thread. I have a Sharpmaker with the brown stones, fine and ultra fine stones. I started sharpening my own knives about two months ago. I thought I was getting the hang of it. I can put a wicked edge on 52100, S30v/35v, 8cr13mov, and all of my wife’s kitchen knives...

Re: Why do you have the knives you do?

Tenacious- My first and so the one I’m most emotionally attached to + it’s actually a really good knife! Paramilitary 2- Marketing perfection! It’s the one everyone loves...so I bought it as my 2nd to try it out...9 variations later I understand why it’s I fan favorite. Mili- the Spyderco that fits ...

Re: Police versus military?

Vivi That is a Suberb review. I wish you wrote for magazines. Agreed 100% I thought this tread was going to be done after Vivi’s post:) I’m just stubborn as hell or I would carry a Police over my 204 Mili. I’m left handed, so the ability to have a 4 way clip would be amazing, the locking system on ...

H&K USP 45. It’s by the bed and it’s what I train with often. Deep down I hope to never have to use it on anything other then paper and steel.

Most people now think that a folding knife must be made for one-handed opening. That is a useful feature but seems to have gotten way out of hand.
Couldn’t agree more.

204 Mili- My all around favorite knife for edc rotation 52100 PM2- Love the steel and the patina blade MT Socom Elite manual m390- iconic knife design with an amazing steel MT Mini Socom Auto 154- A small knife that actually fits my hand properly. Re: Police versus military?

The Police is also thinner and has a longer blade. You can get the Mili in a lot of different steels the Police doesn’t come in.checkout the carbon fiber/titanium Mili...it’s a heck of a knife for the money. I don’t think you will dislike whatever option you decided to go with...both serviceable cho...

Shaman today and for the next two weeks. I got the knife this weekend and I’m giving it a test drive to see how I like it. It’s going to be weird not having my trusty Mili.

Re: Just placed my order for my Military.

Well I don’t get to purchase too many higher end knives in account of the boss (my wife) :p ! Though today she let me get the knife I was always curious about. I almost got the Resilience on account that they look similar but I’m glad I read reviews about the subtle differences between them and the...

Re: Updated shaman sprint steel poll

I passed on owning the Shaman for a long time, mostly because I’m all about my Mili for edc and the PM2 when I want something a little smaller. I jumped on the $130 Shaman Cabelas deal posted a few days ago and my knife showed up today. To me, the Shaman is basically almost everything I love about t...

Re: BladeHQ video and Joyce

I’m excited to watch it but I haven’t yet. I was sort of shocked when bladehq emailed me with the top 5 Spyderco knives of all time. 1. PM2 2. Delica 3. Para 3 4. Tenacious 5. Shaman I wonder how they arrived at that. Is it by sales, clicks, personal opinion? I mean, the ukpk isn’t even on the list...

You think the Shaman deal at Cabelas was a mistake? I can’t imagine why they would sell it for $130! I’m thrilled to have scored one...let’s see if it gets delivered:)

Re: Largest Spyderco Folding Knife Currently Available / in Production?

I carry a Military and love it, but would have to say the Police 4 is probably going to be a great knife for you. Also, Spyderco knives are waaay better in person/hand than in videos or pictures.

"non Trump handers" ? Care to explain?

I'm gonna take a wild guess and say it has to do with Trump's small hands, so "Trump handers" as in small handed people.
You sir are correct.

Re: Where is the REX 45 Millie?

This knife addiction is getting ridiculous:) Of course the Rex45 Mili is highly anticipated by us non-Trump handers. The great color, awesome steel, and the quality control changes make this a potential “grail” Military for some. I feel fortunate to have found the Green G-10 204 Mili because it’s my...
