Why are most Golden blades on the thicker side?
As a fan of :spyder: s with thinner blades (3mm and less), I am curious why most blades made in Golden are on the thicker side (3.2mm and up)? The only exceptions I could find in the catalog are the Autonomy (2.9mm), Janisong (3mm), and the UKPK (2.5mm).

Who else is looking forward to the K390 SE Endura?
Being (AFAIK) the first regular Endura in both FFG and SE, not to mention K390, it should be a real cutting beast!

Re: Interest in an Ikuchi sprint or exclusive?
Ikuchi is a Japanese sea monster, so a salt version would make some sense

Kudos to Spyderco Customer Service
I recently emailed to ask about getting a replacement clip screw for my Caribbean. Today, 3 screws and a small tube of Loctite showed up in my mailbox!

Interest in an Ikuchi sprint or exclusive?
The DLT exclusive Kapara has given me a ray of hope that this could happen. Cruwear and linen micarta is in fashion these days, and I’d definitely be on board for that, but there are other steel/scale combos that would work for me.

Re: Sal's Casual Bombshell Thread
Just found this from Apr 5, 2021, on BladeForums:
“Our hi-performance Delica is just beginning to go forward. High hollow grind, thin edge, I'd like K390. Should be fun and eye opening.”

Re: Serrated edge fans
...I have gotten the list to one more or less suggested of the rock jumper, salt 2 in lc200n or h1 and a wharncliffe delica. Thanks again. Of those choices, I think you might really enjoy the Wharncliffe Delica, or the Salt 2 Wharncliffe LC200N. My Wharncliffe Delica has shallower serrations than o...

Differences between Cruwear and 4V?
I have 3 :spyder: folders in Cruwear, but the only 4V I have is my Province FB. I really like the ease of sharpening and toughness of Cruwear. Near stainlessness is also a plus. I'm wondering if it’s worth trying 4V in a folder, or is it not much different than Cruwear? I know 4V is less corrosion r...

Caly 3.5 HAP40 sprint run?
I know there is a regular production Caly 3.5 LW forthcoming, but who'd like to see a sprint run in HAP40/green G10 like the Caly 3?

Re: Can I sharpen steel x with a Sharpmaker? The answer is yes!
The point I'm trying to make is that I think a disservice is being done to some with lesser sharpening skills. They are scared away from some very nice steels because they think they need to invest money and time in more sharpening gear to get any benefit from them. This is where I was with K390. Th...

Can I sharpen steel x with a Sharpmaker? The answer is yes!
This question comes up regularly here. When someone asks it they usually mean “Can I restore a :spyder: with a (fill in the blank) blade and factory bevels, to a factory edge, using a Sharpmaker with the included ceramic rods, in a reasonable amount of time?” Very often, someone with advanced sharpe...

Re: going on vacation soon, so I need a new knife :)
For a folder, I’d get the Rex 45 Native Chief sprint, while they’re still available. For a fun fixed blade, I'd go with a Province or Sustain, whichever appeals to you more.
