Nice! One of my last BMs is a 710HSSR, for a long time M2 was the bees knees
I had a pair of these. They were super steels before the term was as common as it is now.

Re: Permanent damage that you've actually done to a knife?

Broke the tip of a long loved BM 3300 auto. Dropped it off of a ladder onto concrete. My poor luck caused it to land tip down, now I have a "divers knife" with about 1/2" of point missing. I would have corrected it, but being a double bevel I didn't want to ruin the grinds and make it...

Delica or endura.... ENDELA
This!
For me, if I have the thicker blade stock that the Endela uses, I'm going to get the extra length that the E4 offers.

Re: The Age Old Question .... E4 or D4

I'm having the same issue except it's D4 or D2 for me. I really like the Dragonfly and already have 3 or 4 but I just don't carry them that much. I find the Delica more optimal for what I like to carry on a regular basis. I've pretty much settled on the K390 Delica but I have several of those and a...

Re: The Age Old Question .... E4 or D4

I would say if you have to ask, the Endura. I prefer the Delica but if you like larger then there is your answer. The Endela is coming, I’m tempted on that one. Alas I have enough for now. With blade stock that matches the Endura, the Endela doesn't really fill a need that I have discovered (yet).

Get the Endura because it’s almost like a compact Police 4 lightweight. That’s an unconventional reason, haha!
That's more like what I'm talking about. Also, just ordering the KW exclusive D4 in CTS-204p means I need to add an Endura to balance the equation. :D

The Age Old Question .... E4 or D4

So I'm at an impass, I am ordering one of the new K390 models but I can't make up my mind between the Delica and Endura. Many will say get both but Disney is right around the corner and funds are only going to allow for one. As a long time Spyderco fan/owner/user/collector I know the pros and cons o...

Re: How about a folding Whale Rescue? Aka a safety tipped Spyderhawk? Rescuehawk?

I can certainly see the benefit to a design like your described, however I am not sure it would fill any niche (or even one I could use to justify) in types of use. That being said, after posts last week, I did consider making myself a whale rescue yard tool with a micarta handle. I would still grin...

Re: What’s up with the military?

The Military is one of my tried and true favorites. As many of the others have said, the CQI has introduced subtle upgrades to the Millie, but the bare bones are virtually the same. I actually hunt for the older ones now more than trying to find a good deal on a modern super steel. This picture was ...

Please, Knifeworks?
I would buy that combo. Regular G-10 scales or a LW FRCP version in that shade of green. Both would be a hit. Come on KW. :D

Re: Poll: Interested in a longer version of the Chaparral while KEEPING it´s thin bladestock??

I was trying to find the thread from last year where Sal was talking about doing a super thin ground afi model Delica and gauging interest and asking about steels. Does anyone else remember this and can you find the link? I wonder if this is still in the works. This thread reminded me of that discu...

Re: Poll: Interested in a longer version of the Chaparral while KEEPING it´s thin bladestock??

I voted yes. I will say that thin can still be strong enough. Re: Caly 3.5 Light Weight: Any News?

I just discovered the Caly line and am curious about this. I have Caly 3 in Hapy40 and the Caly 3.5 in ZDP. I don't find either to be heavy knives at all. So other than the option to have fun with different steels I'm not super excited about this. What am I missing? With they light weight be like t...

Re: Sprint/Exclusive Deal Breakers

As others have said, for me it all boils down to my taste and value meter. If I love a design, I will always consider a sprint. If it is something that interests me very little, all the other variables have to be in sync to make me buy it. Case in point, the Manbug never interested me before Reveal ...
