IMO the S30V takes nice polished edge. In fact, if the edge is not properly, highly polished, then the edge might chip, or just get dull easily. Also I think a polished edge is really good for VG10, though it takes a nice rough edge as well.

+1 for the Millie. Though get the Chinese, if you want to have a more aesthetic folder, since you've got your working Delica.

good review.
I agree that the new Schempp knives looked weird when the Prototypes came out, but now after getting the Barong, I think the opposite. I love the fit and finish on the Barong, and the Khukri looks just as good. Probably going to order Khukri this week.

I generally do not like titanium liners, since they wear out way faster than the Steel ones. Also FG is overdone to the point where I don't ever want to get anything in FG again. There are a lot of other colors Spyderco could use for their G-10.

My D2 knives also have a "slight" discoloration. Although, be aware, one drop of salt, and be ready to scrape a rust pit. I've had a dozier, which accidentally got a little salt on it, next day it was so rusty in the spot, where the salt dropped, I had to "dig" it out with anothe...

Hello mtice. it seems to me that you're in the same position I was a few weeks back. I was looking for a solid, and relatively large Seki folder. I looked into two knives, Khukuri and Barong. I tried them both, and ended up getting a Barong. What a great knife! totaly compares in quality to the Gold...

I love H-1 at times.
I live in Canada, and we've got lots of snow, which means lots of salt all over. when I need to cut something that was exposed to large amounts of salt, I use my Tasman. rust-FREE. It's an amazing steel. A wonder in the knife world (IMHO)

Unfortunately, in this world of high intellectual creatures, there are some disguised freaks. They pretend to be human, though under that fake shell of skin, lies neither a man or a dog, but a monster. These are the people that bring only evil upon themselves and their close ones. I'd like to grab o...

How about CLB Lava?! That's a great knife for EDC, smaller than trance, and also designed by Chad, who is deep in the SD 'science'.
I've got both, Trance and Lava. The Lava is of higher quality, though it's price's higher than the trance.

Hello again fellows. I've also got 2 Tenacious. PE and SE. Love them both, and no lockup problems / failing of liner. I guess i just needed reassurance, that just like the Military video, there is only ONE, "unique" Tenacious, that has that specific problem. And yes, eventually all liners ...

+1 for Streetbeat

Streetbeat is a great choice.
VG-10 has good corrosion resistance.
No mechanism, nothing to collect any dirt or guts.
Blade design is perfect for skinning.

Tenacious lock fails

Hey guys.
It might have been discussed before, but somehow I probably missed it.
I just saw a clip on youtube.com Where they show a Tenacious lock fail. Anybody knows what the **** is up with that?

I am not generally a big fan of small knives, but the Lava is one unique piece of art. Great for EDC, or even SD.
