You know, I wouldn't believe many of my stories had I not seen it firsthand, with mine own eyes. I worked (as a civilian) in the "back" of a max for a while, so I find them pretty easy to believe. Recall one inmate claiming the deep puncture wound in his leg was from being hit by a meteor...

Think the tie clip verison of the Spyderkey is a hair smaller, but the Toad is certainly the smallest :spyder: with a pocket clip.

Tan G10 Native - dual liners, ambi tip down waterfall clip, no Boye dent. Flat ground blade with fine traction grooves on the thumb rest and choil. I'd buy one of those in S90V in a heartbeat. :D Then again, I'd buy one of those in 440A in a heartbeat. ;)

Ok I want to get my wife a smaller knife for general stuff. She wants combo edge. I would prefer not SS handles for her and a pocket clip is a must. I think a delica might be too big. Any ideas Your specs do limit choices quite a bit. FRN ProGrip comes in combo edge and is smaller than the Delica, ...

I'll be getting an SS version soon so we'll see how she compares. Very neat video Rorschach! As far as the SS Kiwi goes, mine :spyder: drops easily, and did so even before I added a fob. As far as closing, the blades on all of mine except the Santa Fe dino bone will "droop" a bit if I sha...

If both those edges are anything like the single one on my BM42, your fingers are pretty safe. That knife arrived from the factory sharp as a bowling ball.

In my case I dislike FRN handles based on feel. They my last forever, be nearly indestructable and extremely affordable but my dislike of them is based on feel and to a certain extent looks. I, on the other hand, doubt that I would be to distinguish between identically finished G10, micarta, carbon...

I had the same one in PE till I traded it off to another forumite, so I can assure you they exist. But, just got a 2001 dealer catalog a few days ago. It is the first catalog where the Vesuvius is listed and it lists two versions, both with G10 scales, one with the "blue shell" inlay and o...

Assuming we're talking about a current production Endura, I agree with Daywalker. Difference, if any, would be slight and would probably favor the Goddard as the pivot pin is further from the edges of the handle. Have never handled an old style Endura, but if, like most of the other FRN clipped mode...

Does anyone know the difference between Zytel and fiberglass (if there is one)? Zytel is the brand name of FRN (fiberglass reinforced nylon) produced by one particular manufaturer. FRN is a tough, resilient, hard wearing and long lasting material, and has it's place. It is hardly "bottom of th...

An excellent question which, for some odd reason, I cannot recall ever seeing an "official" answer to. Would be tempted, based on gross visual inspection when moving/removing clips, that the size and thread appears to vary from model to model and has possibly varied over time within a give...
