I always take my Salt 1 SE with me when I run clipped so it is against my skin at around a 3:30 position and I don't even notice it.

Rust Prevention Opinions

I use CLP on all my firearms since they get used pretty regularly, but I am using Mineral oil on my knives because my EDC always sees food. I was wondering what others use for both lubrication and rust Prevention

ZDP delica

Does anyone have one that has had a rust issue I was using it and I am getting paranoid about it turning to oxidized dust. So I have three questions... 1. Does it rust that easily or is it overblown? 2. If I bathe it in vinegar and get a darker color on the blade would that help? 3. Will it stain or...

thanks to everyone i generally keep all my blades clean. but i know that I can't get away with the level of corrosion resistance that vg10 has…. I left a dragonfly stuck into beach sand for a few hours once and nothing. i am super excited about this ZDP

I just guess i was curious bc i use my knives for a lot and was thinking that while hunting since blood has a higher concentration on salt than most things that i may come in contact with a little preventive maintenance could help. plus i was curious if i could get the blade a duller gray color

caly 3 or another delica

I have a VG-10 delica and i like it a lot. with that said i would love to get a caly 3 zdp… but my biggest concern is the strength of the tip. I dont abuse my knives (prying etc.) but i still use it rough occasionally. ok maybe i will separate wood i am cutting through sometimes. so the big question...

ZDP Balance?

why has it never been done?

since it would not be used for anything too "heavy," i feel like the edge retention of ZDP would be a no brainer.

funny story forgot my knife one morning and had to field dress a whitetail with it... it was all that was with me. really wasn't bad either, less chance of punching a whole in the smelly bits

dragonfly spacers?

I was wondering if anyone ever thought of putting washers in a FRN dragon fly? would it prolong the life of the frn handles or just be a nuisance
