The frn scales on the Byrd are more likely to have hot spots than the scaleson the Tasman,and the Byrd is chunkier and more squared than the Tasman, and of course the steel on the Byrd is not quite as superb as the Tasman H1.
That said, the Byrd is an excellent knife and a superb value.
