Pretty cool to see Casey Lynch addressing this but on the other hand a little sad that Spyderco cannot

Kevin Wilkins has now made a Leafstorm 2 that addresses some of the problems with the original, maybe Spyderco and Mr Wilkins can get together and make that version instead?

If I recall correctly Sal explained a while back that he and Eric prefer to carry the PM2 tip down and that's why they ship it like that.

I would recommend purchasing some type of diamond stone, they make life far easier when it comes to these type of steels.

Ordered a Maxamet PM2 but looks like I've been kicked in the old proverbials once again. Man, I'm getting a bad run of luck so far this year. Guess I'll have to file a claim this weekend

Could this be a test scenario by Spyderco? If the knife is well made and gets a good reception then they can start to make more and use different materials in the future

Just wondering if anyone has tried Vanadis 4 Extra, it looks similar to M4 but maybe a bit tougher. Any chance we'll ever see this steel in a Spyderco Mule or folder?

If you're buying a Spyderco knife then you can send it in for sharpening, I think they charge $5. Otherwise you might be best off looking over at bladeforums for someone who can do it.

I like the lw Urban the way it is, just would be great to see different steel varieties. M390 would be absolutely awesome and I'd like to see more European steels, maybe some Sandvik varieties.
