I personally think, that the difference between a Stretch 2 and a Delica 4 can be clearly felt. 0.453" to 0.386" The Sage I is with 0.433" somewhere in between. Sorry, I don't have a Caly 3.5, only a Caly 3 and a few G-10 UKPKs, which are roughly in the area of your Delica. BTW: I'v...

Thanks for the info. Both were high on my wish list.

Micarta out of fashion?

I noticed that there is only one folder in the current catalog with a Micarta handle, the C153 Des Horn. Why is this so, may it be due to lack of demand? I think that's very unfortunate, because I love Micarta and some of my alltime-favorites have a Micarta handle: Calypso jr, Tim Zowada and the big...

Normally, you can see the CF weave quite well, although it's somewhat more subdued than a regular matte, glossy, and the twill CF on the Sage I and most other CF handled knives from Taichung. A friend of mine had a modded stretch 2 with the aero carbon by cuscadi. As far as I remember the carbonfibre was a grippy as the chaparrals, although the woven pattern was somewhat different. Heres a link to a modded leafstorm with the aero carbon: http://blog.cuscadi.de/?p=2355#more-2355 greetings...

The carbonfibre ist pretty smooth and does not have the same grippy structure as the gaylebradley/sage1/terzuola/chaparral; it's more gentleman like. Some closeups of the C94-CF and the C94-G10. http://www.spyderco.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=161&pictureid=1307 http://www.spyderco.com/forums/...

I love my chaparral! It's the perfect hybrid of a sage1 and a kopa. I'd like to add some more pics: carbonfibre-structure closeup made with a reproduction ratio of 1:1, and a comparison sage1-chaparall-kopa. http://spyderco.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=161&pictureid=1304 http://spyderco.com/fo...
