Re: Bento Box Something Something....
This is the first time I’ve been tempted to buy a pm2 at all. I much prefer leaf shaped blades like the manix but the k390 is calling me. If I do fold, I’ll pick up one of the m390 blades as well.

Re: Have you found the one?
For me, it’s the manix xl and shaman equally, closely followed by the zdp/cf caly 3.5. I have to force myself to carry my other primary knives or I wouldn’t carry them at all.

Re: K390: Brittle? Hard to sharpen?
My pma11 mule sharpens as easily as s35vn or 20cv to me. No difficulty whatsoever, and much easier than s110v.

Re: So what's your top 3 favorite steels? and why?
Of those I’ve tried, Lc200n, Maxamet, and zdp-189. Lc200n because it’s tough as dirt, rustproof(in most circumstances), super easy to sharpen, and wear resistant enough for most occasions. Maxamet because it holds an edge for longer than anything else I’ve tried, but is easy to sharpen as it doesn’t...

Only one that comes to mind at the moment is the Sustain. 20cv (crucible’s version of M390) steel and 6” blade.

Once a week for the knives I use during the week. Every day after work for my primary box cutter (currently a zdp dragonfly).

From what I’ve heard, there wasn’t a CPM Cruwear mule; it was non powdered cruwear. I could be wrong though.

Dunno. 4v, M390, or CPM Cruwear maybe? Not sure if there was anything in any of them prior to exclusives.

Re: Sal, are there any plans for another K390 knife?
I have plans to make the entire Endura family in K390. BU wasn't planning on making an more K390 until October so we're just waiting on material. sal Does that include the wharncliffe blades (and wharncliffe dragonfly)? If so, count me in for at least one of each. What do you want it to include? sa...

Re: Manix XXL
Do it! I’d be in for one in every steel spyderco uses, price be damned! That said, I’m still waiting for more sprints and exclusives of the normal XL. I’m nearly at the point of taking out a loan and commissioning an exclusive just to get it to happen.

It’s a less corrosion resistant but easier to sharpen alternative to s110v. Not as prone to stubborn burrs.

Re: What angle do you sharpen at?
13dps with a 15dps half micron micro bevel. I match steel to task and always carry a mix of steels to handle any occasion (maxamet/zdp189 and lc200n/s30v/xhp, or cruwear/m4 and s110v/s90v for example).
