Yikes! :o This is very odd. I sent an Aluminum Civilian with a messed up blade for repairs recently, and they restored the entire blade, and made the tip terrifyingly sharp without grinding away any metal that I noticed. Odd indeed. But I have seen the local House of Knives do some re-sharpening on ...

People, just do what I do when I send anything, anywhere for anything: attach a DETAILED letter about what you would like done, and a request that you be contacted if anything else was to be undertaken. Works every time, with just about every company. Spyderco specifically asks that you include a le...

Thanks to Spyderco Warranty and Repair
Well, after years of use, my old GIN-1 Native started to display some blade play. So, I sent it in for a tune up, along with an old battered G2 Tuffram Civilian I got second-hand. Got them back today, with the following results: Native was replaced by a new one. Not GIN-1, not CPM440V, but the newes...

Yep, I am now giving serious consideration to SpydiePacks, and maybe some of those little crystal stands for individual knives too. The display case would be so much easier... But I guess a 24-pack of little stands and a nice glass-front closet from Home Depot will be enough. Hmmm... I wonder if I c...

No matter where you are (US or any other place), the warranty on the box clearly states that they will attempt to repair the problem, and replace the knife if necessary. A fair warranty and a fair warning. I sent an old Tufram Civilian and a Native (my 1st Spyderco knife I bought years ago) in for r...

Spyderco Display Case?
I asked this on Bladeforums too, but this might be a better place for it. My question was: Is it possible to buy a Spyderco display case like the ones they have in stores? Big, from transparent plastic, with multiple cuts that form shelved to place knives on. I saw one on EBay last year, but couldn'...

Don't quote me on this one, but I think I read somewhere that the burr on the stones can be eliminated by rubbing two stones together. Mine were silky smooth however, so I never really experienced that burr first hand. As for the edge on the Delica, you may need to reprofile the blade (remove quite ...
