If you want something high quality and personalized then check out Harner Knives on FB. Lloyd "Butch" Harner is an outstanding maker of chef knives and custom razors. He is also a member here and licensed by Spyderco for use of the Spyder hole. I have one of his first folders and it is out...

Lowa is my gold standard.... Buy once, cry once. But I also own/use Keen and Wegner and both are excellent choices. I walk the farm and woods daily checking stock, walking my Berners, scouting deer and any of the ones I mentioned fill the bill well.

Yup, nothing like building up a little deal that makes you a little side money just to have it snatched away with no explanations, no negotiations, no method of correcting whatever problem they have with your content........ad infinitum Silence the opposition, take away their money, take, take, take...

Re: Bed Bugs: Arachnids From ****
Diatomaceous earth is fairly handy stuff to have around the farm/house. We keep a few buckets of it around the barn, in the kennel building, and the garage. Great for crawling insect control, I treat the dog runs and yard 3 or 4 times a year using a broadcast spreader and we haven't had a flea issue...

Re: Coffee and Tea taste better out of certain mugs
As I pointed out above....I drink both my coffee and tea from heavy, wide-mouthed china/ceramic cups. I have found through the years that it enhances the enjoyment quite a bit over paper/Styrofoam/etc...
My only exception is my RTIC stainless travel mug when I am in a vehicle. It's spill proof.

Re: Spydercos & Guns
My question was about the motivation of the opponents of 2A. What is their reason for wanting to restrict sane, law abiding enthusiasts? - as the inference above, is that they do. Is it supporters of big government drawing the teeth of their opponents, a lazy political response to other problems, o...

Today it's a CountyComm exclusive Opinel utility knife. Very handy knife and doesn't scare the "normal" folks.

Re: The Last Gun You Bought
Just bought a mid-1950's S&W pre-Model 27 in the original gold tone cardboard box. According to the original owner it's been fired a total of 18 times. I won't post the price because I can't stand to see Maclaren cry.

Re: Spydercos & Guns
Simply put.... If conservative firearm owners were the type of people that we are constantly portrayed as in the media then there wouldn't be any liberals around to complain about us. Their arguments are simply a straw man for more government restrictions on personal liberties. I won't say more beca...

A wide mouth mug allows the olfactory senses to be involved with the consumption of your hot beverage. Stimulating both the senses of taste and smell. It enhances the experience.

Re: Unexploded WW2 bomb “made safe”
Goo grief. Safer to detonate on site than try to move it as they get more unstable with age, I heard. Unless it's a thermonuclear bomb. 85 miles from my house two 3-4 megaton nuclear bombs were dropped after a B-52 broke apart in midair. Both bombs fell from the plane with only one parachute openin...

Re: Unexploded WW2 bomb “made safe”
They usually only detonate the ones identified by type as having booby traps built into the mechanisms. Too dangerous to do anything other than that. Some had multi-layer booby traps to kill off the Brit UXO folks, who were very, very good at rendering the UXO safe for removal. They were many of the...

Let's be clear, he did not offend all minorities nor did he offend all women's groups. Let's be accurate. Only those who were not conservative or Republican were offended as a rule. Some disagreed, but were not offended. Only certain people of a certain mindset were offended, not all. Exactly...He ...

Grandpa bought me a lifetime membership about a week after I was born, about $25 back then. Haven't been happy with Mr. Milquetoast being in charge all these years, their silence on many key 2nd Amendment issues (both state and national) and their backing of politicians who truly aren't 2nd friendly...

I've carried and "used hard" everything from a custom Emerson costing $1500 to a FRN Delica. If you made it your own by customizing it then you should definitely use it. Otherwise is was all for naught.
Enjoy it.
