Re: David Boye Cobalt Knives: any thoughts?

nice! I have admittedly been hesitant to buy one due to the price, and due to having the Salts from Spyderco, :D but in all honesty I have looked at these very often and if we didn't have the H1 folders I'd probably have a few of these already. :o Looking forward to your uses and I hope it serves yo...

Re: Show your SpyderBites

Reason being, that the knife openend unnoticed in the pocket like in my case?! I like the BM axxislock, no doubt, but when I adjust the action to my liking it's prone to open in the pocket and so not the safest in carry. Just one of the reasons why backlocks still and probably forever are/will be m...

Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??

Interesting tool there Peacent. I've never seen one with an adjustable wrench built in like that. What brand is it? hi! It's off-brand (Chinese made, rebranded under different names) but I believe the original is called SPLITMAN G57 https://i.imgur.com/cdmYGrS.jpg WeAllJuggleKnives made a video on ...

Re: Let's Get Serious: G-10 Handles Are Just Hard To Beat For EDC uses

I've had my G10 wear down to a smoother texture. You can bring back the color with oils like ballistol but it can't restore physical wear of the texture itself. My Police 3 user feels a lot different than the identical pre-need back-ups I bought. A lot of what you're pointing out has to do with the...

Re: Carabiner clip

Ok I’m having some trouble with the prototype. The prototype is all but finished however the issue I’m having is I can’t find screws to fit the Cara Cara 2. Does anyone have any information on the screws. What is the thread pitch, what is the diameter of the screws and are the screws metric or stan...

amazed that it took 10 posts, and Sal himself, for the Jumpmaster 2 to be mentioned or commented upon...one of my favorite blades and my next must have Spyderco! Too little talk about this model

Re: Cold Steel

:o Nice mod. I tried unscrewing the thumbstud, but about stripped the screw. I'm betting there is some loctite involved. Thinking I'll need to heat it up, then try unscrewing it. Very nice mod Peacent! Is it about dragonfly hole size? the hole mod is from a South African friend, not mine, but I'd s...

Re: Cold Steel

the Finn Wolf. It was cheap enough so I can see how I like that kind of edge on a folder. Of course I have to figure out how to get the thumbstuds off since they interfere with sharpening. Definitely an area where the Spyderhole on the Ray Mears folder shines https://i.imgur.com/b6K70fo.jpg https:/...

The knife from ikea is $44.99 though.

my $19.95 Cara Cara 2, my $24.95 Crossbill and my $29.95 Black All-Stainless Cara Cara had perfect, even grinds
heck, 16 out of 17 Spydercos I've had came with nice, even, flawless grinds :o
