I would prefer a 50/50 edge for defence.....both my chinooks have that configuration. I find that with my cutting style (mainly slicing cuts as opposed to push cuts), serrations work much better for me.

The chinook is my favourite knife due to its toughness and the solid feel. In addition,i dont think there's any evidence that the backlock will get loose, especially the one on the chinook. Go ahead and get one!!!!

In Australia, you can carry a folder in most of the states as long as you have a plausible reason for carrying it. I'm in Sydney at the moment and i find that after 9/11, most people are less concerned when they see a knife as compared to before....i use a serrated native to sharpen pencils in my ma...
