I was so impressed with my Techno, I ended up selling my Small Sebenza after owning the Techno for about 3 months(Seb was my go-to folder for over 6 years). I truly think it's a better compact EDC folder than was my Small Seb, my 3" XM-18, or my PT. Mine is on-par with the "Big 3" in ...

I'm pretty much about buying a "primary" folder that sees the majority of pocket time. I then have a few dollars that goes to buying something else to try out/scratch the knife-buying itch. I don't currently collect anymore, as I'm into so many other activities that I don't want to have to...

For over 6 years, my default folder was a Small Sebenza. It's the yardstick knife for me. When I buy other knives, it's because I want something different than a Sebenza, but I'd never expect anything else to be better, especially in terms of F&F. I owned a Sage 2 and was very pleased with it, b...

I used my Techno to cut through a bunch of those plastic ties that keep products in their boxes.

I didn't want to create another thread, so I'll be bumping this one. For those of you who've carried the Techno for a couple of months to a year. How has the lock been going? Any noticeable wear? I've been carrying mine every day since August, 2012. During that time, I've cut everything from bell p...

Go for the GB, in my opinion you are not able to do hard work with the Techno. For light tasks the blade thickness of the Techno is too large. IMO the Techno is a fail design. Best regards, Olli Perhaps you could define hard work? I've carried my Techno every day for the past 14 months and have cut...

Like others have already stated, I think I'm past that stage now. There are certainly knives I'd love to get my hands on, but I'm pretty happy with my very small collection these days. The truth is, I have a handful of folders/SAKs that either have sentimental value or have little monetary value tha...

I would say looking for the ideal knife is my only hobby, but my other interests all involve living an active lifestyle. Sea paddling, hiking and mountain biking would be the big three with karate and generally keeping fit thrown in as well.

I've been carrying mine every day for the past 13 months or so, and have yet to encounter a task it couldn't handle. Yes, it's shorter than many other knives, but the actual cutting edge is very close to a Caly 3, Native, or Delica. F&F is well ahead of the Seki Spydies I've owned and the steel ...

I've been carrying mine every day for nearly 13 months. I bought it with the intention it holding me over until a few "better" knives became available to me. The "better" knives (including 2 CRKs) have come & gone while the Techno continues to ride shotgun. I believe it might...

So what is the "current verdict" on S35vn? In truth, I can't speak to how Spyderco's S35vn is as I've never used it. I did, however, carry(should probably say "use") a CRK folder about 90% of the time for the better part of 6.5 years. During that time, it saw use both on and off...

I'm not about to dismiss anyone's personal experiences with any given product, but if they don't jive with mine, it doesn't create doubt in what I have experienced, either.

All things being equal, I prefer more cutting edge(relative to overall size), but the ergonomics still have to work for me. A good example of a smaller knife with plenty of cutting edge relative to its overall size would be a BM Mini Grip. However, I find the handle to be too small. By contrast, the...

Nice review. It's funny how Striders have a number of features I simply hate(short cutting edge relative to overall length and G-10 on one side) and are at the top of what I'd pay for a knife, but I still think they're awesome.

For me, I have two items that were from my two grandfathers. The first is a pocket watch I got after my Mom's father passed in the early 80's. The other is a really neat Crucifix that houses a candle holder and cut-out for Holy water that was used to baptize my Dad's father who passed away in the 40...
