Remember scientists depend on grant money for research. If they can make their experiments seem important enough to save the entire planet then they will receive an endless supply of grants.(Think job security!)

Tanto blades ?
I can see how a Tanto blade with a chisel grind,( like those found on Emerson knives ) would have a stronger tip for piercing. My question is, do the Tanto blades with a V grind have any strength advantages over a drop point blade or a clip blade? Also, if anyone has ever used a Tanto shaped blade a...

Kopa Clip?
I have not had the opportunity to handle a Kopa. After trying a search it seems as if it is a good alternative for a fan of the kiwi who prefers a clip. My question is about the clip. Is it sturdy enough for an EDC? Is it an extra-tight clip or will it slide out of blue jeans without pulling up the ...

Question
Jimd, thanks for the job you're doing. It sounds to me that you handled that situation really well! I was curious, you said that this incident happened when you first started. Now that you have many more experiences under your belt, what more could you do in the same situation now? Thanks again, Joe

Alton Brown was in Kansas City Saturday at a large furniture and appliance store. He gave a 45 minute cooking demonstration on GE appliances that he helped develop. At the book signing that followed I asked him about a Spyderco Delica that he used on one of his cooking shows. At first he thought I w...

My Christmas Knife
This past weekend I attended the local gun show. Since this was the last show before Christmas, the larger knife dealers went to larger venues. There was only one Spyderco in the entire show. It was a C52SBK Calypso Jr. It was in the box which contained the plastic bag and the warranty papers....

I watch too !
I know a lot of people are watching it and enjoying it without the "monsters." I watch the show every week. I enjoy the characters. I hope they aren't going to inject monsters into the story if they run out of character storylines. Oh well, if they put in monsters I'll still watch. :o Joe
