that name looks familiar from another forum so I might know where you are coming from with the question. I agree with the mention of the Military, it's one of my favorite folders, in the top ten, would probably be in the top 5 i...

I have to agree with the last post... I'm a fan of non-metallic blades for curio/gadget factor, but most of them ain't that great. I've never tried to cut with one of them, but the edge doesn't feel like it would do too well. Supposedly there is a Ti alloy that works well at protecting against elect...

I guess what it comes down to after my above rambling is: Sturdy, strong, sharp knives(that stay sharp), are what I like. If they weight 3 ounces, look like goddesses, and cost 50 bucks then the company has a great thing on thier hands. If they weight 9 ounces, are ugly as sin, and cost 500 bucks, t...

I pick knives to use mainly based on how they perform. I really love the Military model, but find it kinda ugly. Doesn't mean that I would hesitate to use it if it was the best knife for the job. Lately I've been looking for "prettier" versions of my carry knives, as long as "pretty&q...

Most people tell me too many, but they see me at work too... Normal load is a pair of SAK's that is about to get cut down to one, one each RF and LF pocket, and occasionally a balisong in a back pocket. The actual knives I carry vary by what I feel like and where I'm going, and I carry one or two mo...

The Spydies I miss most are my Military's. I have had several over the years, and they always seem to get parted with for one reason or another... I really need to add one back into the rotation, but my knife budget is overextended as it is <img src="sad.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middl...

I agree with swede...
If it was a materials problem(thier fault) they would fix it no problem.
It apparantly wasn't, you broke the tip doing something abusive(I'm guessing) to it, so why is it bad service to fix your mistake?

From personal experience using them, and by what sells down here in the store, the ones I could live without are: Stainless Endura/Delica, most customers like the FRN for lightweight and grip Endura/Delica trainers Blue Rescues in both sizes, perhaps even one of the other colors, really only need 1 ...

I carry an Arc AAA and Surefire E2O for my work lights... The E2O isn't as blinding as the other SF lights, and it is more gentle on battery consumption. Makes a great EDC for non tactical applications.

I work at a B&M knifestore, and sadly, we sell the knockoff stuff as well as the good stuff. It's a matter of economics from a business standpoint, but that's another subject. I think the knockoffs are evil. I also watch them take money away from the more well known brands. I have people come in...

I've toyed with the idea of a boot knife from time to time, but I find that very few people wear boots anymore.... I have a few ideas for something that would work, and even have a few of them put to steel, but find that belt/neck carry is much more likely to happen... I've never made a boot knife s...

I used to have a Millie with neck rig when I was in college... was a great way to carry without being detected, and was pretty convenient to boot. It also allows you to carry a larger neck knife than a fixed blade, which comes in handy under some circumstances. The sheath was by River City, and I ha...

A matte CF Native in S30V, or perhaps something new like D2, would rule all. I don't really like the polished handles, because the only one I've played with(CF Police) was really slick and seemed like it would be hard to hold on...
