Good suggestions above; I particularly agree with the Sage. The new Native 5 and the new Chaparral look great as well. UKPK?

Regarding the Stretch:

Sal mentioned (and I believe he's right) that they _only_ altered the spine. The blade would retain all functional aspects it has now, and won't handle any different. It would just look .. better The drop-point blade is what makes the knife functional! By altering the spine the blade will NOT retai...

My perception is that the Gayle Bradley is a 'tougher' knife. The heavy liners and full-length assembly instill confidence. I'm thinking the GB could survive a fall from a small building or a run-over by a small truck. I do have a Manix 2 xhp and really like nearly everything about it –I do have som...

I have three of the Mini-Manix and one Manix-2 xhp. I prefer the original. I think it's a better design overall, more elegant. I think that that it's easier to use and possibly more reliable for my needs. Both are great knives.

As you have witnessed here people like both knives. The D2 is a really nice steel. Many would prefer it over s30v, so that might be a deal breaker. I myself really like the P2 –although I have never owned a P1. David L. posted above that the P1 and P2 are as different to one another as the Mini-Mani...

I use Break Free CLP for my knives and guns. It's not the best out there, but it's plenty good enough, cheap, and easy to find more of.
I thought it was "the best out there." People with guns seem to favor it 10 to 1.

I agree with bh49. If it's a C95 PE with "minor wear on the clip, otherwise like new" I would say more like $170–$200. A year ago NIB were going for over $200.00.

If you are not doing any fillet work, and you are in need of a knife that can assist with a multitude of task associated with fresh water fishing I would vote on a drop-point blade and VG10.
Stretch!
I have a Stretch that I bring when I go fly fishing for trout. I use it a lot.

I'm glad to see the swedge gone as well. It looks as if the Native has grown-up. To me this seems to be the best iteration yet. I would just like to see these for sale already.

It looks like the modifications on the Para-2 it might very well give you a slight advantage in operation with an out-of-the-box knife. I was one of those who got an early Para2 that was somewhat difficult to disengage with one hand. I now feel like an idiot for even sharing my opinions –on this bo...

My Para 2 was 'sticky' to disengage when I first got it as well. It was such a fine knife that I couldn't keep my hands off it though. Carried it every day, opening and closing it a lot, fingers sore, trying to refine my technique for closing with one hand. I can tell you that it broke-in just fine....
