Re: Reveal 14 teaser from September's byte
Reveal post up! Choilless Shaman. Kinda surprised and disappointed there's no contouring or even a bit of significant chamfering. Edit: and Manix Salt! Well LB, you should be pretty happy now. 😅 I agree, that Bodacious is a bit...odd. I see why it's not the choil-less Shaman. That would be a disser...

Re: Reveal 14 Live!
I'd have really loved a ambidextrous Catcherman. It's great that Spyderco released it again, and i'm pretty sure it will make a lot of folks happy. It's one of my grail knives, but the handle design just isn't suited for lefties, especially on a Salt knife that's meant to be used on water. But overa...

Re: Reveal 14 teaser from September's byte
I think they really dropped the bomb on this reveal, hence the long delay.
Catcherman! Sheesh. Still a right only knife. But should make a LOT of folks happy.

BladeHQ Exclusive Yojumbo M-4
As posted on their Instagram, BHQ announced a new exclusive, this time a Yojumbo in M-4 and DLC, with their jade G-10 scales. No date or price yet. Should make fans of big blades happy around here.

Re: Will Factory Switch Blades/Scales Between Knives? (Same Model)
Doing blade/scale swaps are a lot easier than properly sharpening a blade, just saying.

Re: Para 3 - anyone else wish the blade stock was thinner?
Nope. Never wished it to be thinner.
Same with the Lil Native, don't want it to be thinner, these knives slice cardboard, paper, plastic wraps, and other materials just fine.
There's the Sage if you want a similar sized knife with a thinner blade thickness.

I liked my RC Bladeworks micarta scales, but that beautiful mexican blanket micarta costs a lot more than a Delica itself.

The Laguiole is as traditional as Spyderco can get.

Re: If Spyderco made a traditional pocket knife
Like a Roadie? Or like a UK Penknife? Or like a Kiwi? Or like a Pingo? Or like a Terzuola slipit? Or like a Bug? Or like a Lil Native? Help me out here!!! Yeah, that was what was in my mind when I first read this thread too... Spyderco has a wealth of slipjoints and traditional-looking knives, mayb...

Re: Native vs Lil' Native
There’s also a lockback lil Native available in 2 configurations, plain edge S30v and serrated S30v. One doesn’t have to worry about it coming open in a pocket. I’m particularly fond of the serrated one. I'd like to try a SE lockback Lil Native someday. I really love by PE lockback and it's my most...

Re: The Sage: A stellar EDC
It's definitely stellar. Unfortunately, for me it fits neatly into the neither-fish-nor-fowl niche, and never gets carried. A little bigger than I want in the house, and when I go out I'm likely to grab something much bigger. I have the same sentiments with the Sage series. I only have one (Sage 2)...

Re: Native vs Lil' Native
I'm a big Lil' Native fan. One of the things I like about the compression lock LN is that since there is no Spydiehole hump, there is literally no blade part sticking out and potentially act as a "wave" opening device. But if you're really concerned about it accidentally opening in your po...

Re: Knife I chose for my Wedding
Congrats on getting married! May your marriage last long and be prosperous.
I also chose a Spyderco for my wedding carry a few years back. I carried a Slycz Swayback over other expensive knives like Chris Reeve and Hinderers.

Re: Holy smokes! what an awesome little multi tool!!
Pretty sure this belongs to off-topic, but if the pliers can last as long as a Leatherman, then it's worth a look in my opinion. I've been a fan of Leathermans because the fit and finish are just ahead of other multi-tools I've handled. Plus there are a lot of reports of SOGs breaking down premature...

Re: Lil' Native Backlock lock-up changed, extreme lockstick
When I first got my Lil Native Lockback, it had a gritty action and didn't feel as smooth as my other lockbacks so I put some KPL on the pivots and that greatly improved everything. It's now my favorite iteration of the Lil Native, slightly edging out all my other compression lock LNs. If you have a...

Glad that's all sorted out, but I'd bet I'm not the only one getting Yoda vibes from that last comment.
