Re: Damasteel Ivory G10 Urban
https://youtu.be/EG1IrNTdAC8 Yeah, $280 is ok for that knife. It looks great. Yes it looks great, even the scales look nice in this vid. Still, $280 is really really painful... for a rather small knife, with "just" G10 scales. I am SO struggling. I want a Damasteel Spydie, but I think it'...

Re: Damasteel Ivory G10 Urban
Looks great. In the delivered and up and coming thread people were asking about how light/dark the etch is. To keep that thread on topic I'll post this here. This is my 40th Anniversary. I have it angled in the light just right for maximum effect, this is as dark as the etch ever looks. Interesting...

Listing's gone. Or made invisible. At least for me.
Was it published by mistake?
Either way. 4V for a Jester sounds not very obvious....

I'll be following this with great interest!! I won't join the troops - I'd just be a liability. But it's another great development, another great chance to learn from the best!!

Hmmmm... 44 bucks less for this in G10 compared to the CruCarta production version. That's a good argument. The color might scare people off though....

Re: Can Wootz steel be made today? (not pattern welded damascus)
Al Pendray was making Wootz, and he worked with Professor Verhoven on Wootz. They spent a week testing Wootz blades at our lab in Golden some time ago. He cooked his Wootz in a crucible for several days. I've got an Al Pendray Wootz Persian dagger, serrated. sal Share a picture, please?! Me likes d...

Re: Elastic Ceramic. Wow!
I have been most impressed with the sharing of knowledge in this sub forum. I'm betting that some will learn a better way and share. When I spoke wit the factory making the blades, she said that they use a diamond belt, That's a good bit of knowledge. I believe we'll teach each other to do it or so...

Sal, earlier you said that the costs appeared to be high. Then you said you were negotiating. Now it's in-the-works. Will the price be higher than the upcoming MT32 at $75? $100+? $150+? Please give a hint, if you can.

If anything, he brought out some folks' true natures, and how quickly people will abandon "shiny footprints". Dude wasn't insulting, wasn't rude, was just a little annoying. All people had to do was put him on ignore or just not interact in his threads, but some folks just had to get thei...

Maybe Light cheapweights will work for the young guns new to the scene or anybody else just looking for something... cheap ... There are reasons to prefer G10 over FRN (and vice versa) and you may actually be a seasoned and experienced knife user... but this particular statement sounds rather immat...

Re: Shot Show 2022 News & Updates
I really hope the SPY27 Military Sal mentioned he carries in his pocket makes it into production, that's a definite buy for me. What if it is a lightweight? :winking-tongue That's blasphemy! Indeed. I'm afraid though it might happen. I share Gsg9's sentiments. Not EVERYTHING must be made LW. But it...
