Re: Michael Walker CF on ebay
A set of titanium scales on the C22 would make a nice sprint, and a nice play on the almite coated aluminum scales of previous runs…xceptnl wrote:I'm probably in the minority, but for a knife of this type (gents or similar) I prefer the aluminum handle to the CF.

Really nice review and photos. You've made me even more interested in the Roadie, it seems like a very useful size.

Re: Michael Walker CF on ebay
Wasn't that original CF Michael Walker made in joint collaboration with Klotzli? I seem to remember that being the case? The original Michael Walker collaboration was with Klötzli. The fit and finish of that model was amazing. There were subsequent runs made in Seki City — a rare black almite, blue...

Re: Michael Walker CF on ebay
I was watching that auction as well, mostly out of curiosity for how high it would go. The ZDP-189 C22 used to go for more in the $100-200 range, but I guess they are becoming more rare. That said, part of me was happy to see such bidding on the Michael Walker, as it's truly a great little knife. Th...

Re: New Ti/Elmax Pingo...
The anodized graphic isn't my style, but everything else about the Ti frame looks great. Very clean lines and nice chamfered edges.
Think of it this way, it could be worse — the bug could be etched or engraved into the handle.

Re: Undisclosed 2015 sprint runs?
The C22 is probably my all-time favorite Spyderco.
I would love to see a Taichung-made C22 Michael Walker with s110v or CTS-204P. Lightning strike or marble CF while we're at it.

After emailing Halpern Titanium right after this thread went up, I finally got an email back today. They'd run out of the orange scales entirely, but I've got a one of the Option 4 scales in black coming to me and one of the Option 5 in CF, shipping out today. Can't wait to slap these on the K390 mu...
