He is talking about the Forum knife for USN..not for SPYDERCO...it is still a SPYDERCO knife though...It is a bit confusing. :confused:

As you may know Spyderco regularly relooks thier product offerings and adjusts the lines to what sales reflect...(or some other dynamic) Do a search for Tazkristi posts and you will find where she lists the models that were dico'd for 09. IMO the Byrd line was too large...and it is being right sized...

Same boat here Bolster. My 2 preorders just shipped so one will go up and one in my pocket...if only one was only one coming it would still go in my pocket. :cool:

I am super excited about many of the new blades Spyderco is coming out with. With that said, a Dodo of any color would go to the top of my list.

My distributor I pre-ordered my Lum through is telling me they still have Lums due in. I am hoping this is true...
Can anyone confirm that Lums are still shipping? :rolleyes:

I have recently returned to Iraq as an Advisor to the Iraqi Bomb Disposal School...I bought 10 Byrd Ravens to give as gifts this Christmas...even though they do not celebrate Christmas like we do in the states...I think they will appreciate it none the less. :p

DeltaWhiskey, How did you cut your scales out? Coping saw or bandsaw or other? Sorry for the slow response...I have been at FT Benning getting all set another Iraq tour...yuck :( . I mainly used a rotary "dremel" type tool with a cutting wheel to cut down the scales close and then I used ...

I did not see another post for showing the M4 Mule and did not want to piggy back off of the orginal mule thread. The small holes in the handle are 3/16th... not sure about the lanyard hole or the larger holes.

I have been browsing a few days since I decided to do it myself.

Texas Knife Supply is where I got mine from...I looked everywhere from E-bay to quite a few online stores. Same day shipping notification and updates on the order process...hopeful to get them today and mule should be here Tuesday!

I have the M4 mule enroute.

I also have ordered some black micarta scales and I have been wondering... :confused:

Are pins really needed?

Will the handles fail without them?

Are they just a safeguard or necessity?

Don't know if this has changed, but in the sharp maker video Sal says they come from the factory at 30 degrees.

It's available...a little early even. :)
