Cat curiosity...
I just received my Cat from the SFO, and it doesn't match the image in the catalog. I know it's genuine, but am curious as to when the CQI updates happened. My Cat says 'BD1' on the blade, not 'CTS-BD1' as pictured in the catalog. Also, my Cat has a tiny lanyard tube, and the Cat in the catalog has ...

Re: Shipping of internal parts
I think Spyderco should work closely with their distributors outside the USA to find more equitable solutions to their customer issues. Supplying parts or parts specifications is a rat hole down which I would not care to venture. And, that doesn’t resolve the initial issues Sal brought forward whic...

Re: Manix 2 & Manix 2 XL - Made in China?
Yes, I fell off the truck and hit my head. Just saw some Amazon reviews that were claiming the latest ones were Made in China. This model is produced strictly in Golden Colorado. Anything else is a counterfeit. If you see any that for some reason are marked with China, you should post the info in t...

Re: Shipping of internal parts
I sympathize and I see this as a cost-benefit ratio analysis. The benefits to a small number of customers would be easier access to a number (as yet undefined number) of spare (also undefined) parts. Benefits to Spyderco would be a higher perception of customer service among those people wanting pa...

Re: Shipping of internal parts
Just an idea, but maybe the many different manufacturers can just supply the hardware measurements to spyderco, and spyderco can relay these measurements to the end user so that they may purchase whatever piece of hardware they require. This solution requires no additional infrastructure, and I'm su...

Re: Spyderco Amsterdam Meet 2018 Report
I am VERY excited about the Mantra 3! I've given up on my Mantra 1...it's a $175 paperweight now. I got 2 days of use before it mucked up, but being there is so much animosity towards anyone who says "I have a problem with the bearings", that I decided to just let it 'die in the box'. Dea...

Ti would be awesome! I haven't seen any aftermarket contoured scales, either, now that I think about it. It might even be nice with contoured G10, like the Shaman.Liquid Cobra wrote: ↑Thu Mar 08, 2018 11:51 amI’ve wanted a fluted titanium para 2 for years. I’d take a pm2 with fluted cf as well.

Re: Jade 52100 military
Pretty sure it's a fake. It could also be a 52100 Millie with swapped or custom scales...
The scales are chamfered pretty heavily, that is unusual. I myself have not heard of any 52100 clones, but they may be the newest clone?

Re: Camo Military pocket clip
My Camo and S110V Millie’s both came with black clips. I fine glass blasted both so I don’t think you should panic just yet. Whoever owned the knife before you may well have just changed the clip. :) Agreed. Someone probably just tried matching the clip to the blade. Maybe post a couple pictures in...

Re: Well done Eric!
Some of the pictures on this forum of the Chapparal being used/abused prove that a 2mm thick blade is plenty for tough "cutting". I'm sure the shorter 2mm thick blade on the Clipitools will handle rough things. Now on the other hand, if tough cutting means something other than cutting, es...
