Re: What "Other" is in your pocket???
Once a CRK finds its way into my pocket, it doesn't like to leave.. I've been carrying this one for the past few days, my other knives are starting to get jealous :zany https://linkprotect.cudasvc.com/url?a=https%3a%2f%2fi.ibb.co%2fg4KhcPy%2fC22284-B9-A7-BF-4828-951-F-66-E4-CBC7-B38-B.jpg&c=E,1,...
Re: Carothers
Wow that Kephart is soo tempting. I've always loved Kepharts and this Carothers version looks amazing. Generally though, I use fixed blades so rarely that I just can't justify the expense. My BK62 will have to be good enough for now..

Re: Clip Finish
I do slightly prefer coated clips to satin. But I really like the newer stonewashed clips on the Native LW models.. I would be in favor of that being the standard finish on all of the non-coated clips going forward. There's a better than average chance that I'll swap the stock clip for an MXG or Lyn...

Re: Other Favorite Knife Brands? At Least 3 or 4 Please?
I would say that Spyderco is my overall favorite brand.. its representation in my knife collection backs that up. Other favorites include: CRK - for all the reasons already listed. Some of their fancier models don't do it for me, but generally, I think CRKs are the epitome of elegant simplicity. The...

Re: Knife Joker GITD Jester 20CV!!
I totally agree with the praise! The Jester has completely kicked my Manbug out of the pocket in the role of secondary small carry knife. I do slightly prefer the added width of the Manbug scales, but the usefulness of the forward jimping & blade shape still tips me in favor of the Jester. Now a...

Speaking of big Gerbers, anyone remember these? https://www.huntingandfishing.co.nz/media/catalog/product/cache/1/image/1920x/040ec09b1e35df139433887a97daa66f/g/e/gerber_gator_154cm_folder_drop_point.png If I had found them earlier they may have kicked Buck 110's out of my pocket prior to discoveri...

Smock. I've written about it pretty critically in the past and haven't carried it in months.. not sure what's happened between now and then, but all of the sudden, I'm really enjoying it.. https://i.ibb.co/HC1ZQ1g/D9-EC9-AB5-39-E6-4-E3-E-AF12-25-CA6-A6-A2625-1-201-a.jpg Funny how that happens somet...

Re: Swick Anticipation Thread
I've had my eye on a Swick for a while now. Seems like a super useful small backpacking/utility knife. I'll definitely be buying one.. can't quite decide between SE or PE though. Historically, I've been a PE kind of guy, but recently, I've been coming around to the virtues of SE.. I'll probably end ...

Could I? Yes, sure. But I like other knives too much for it to ever be a likely scenario for me

Re: Mid-sized Native?
I would definitely be on-board for one of these. I love the Native, but do sometimes wish that it was just a little bit bigger. I like the Chief, but it's admittedly quite a bit longer than I normally prefer and doesn't get carried very often. The mid-size would be like the "Goldilocks" Na...

Re: Knife Joker GITD Jester 20CV!!
Watched the “continue to PayPal” page spin for about 25 min before x’ing off the site. Tried again about 45 min after the drop time and the KJ homepage wouldn’t even load.. just a white spinning screen haha. So I x’ed out again and went about my day, thinking for sure I had no shot at the Jester. Ne...

On minute 17 of spinning at the "proceed to PayPal" screen.. pretty much writing this one off at this point hahah. Congrats to those that were able to get one!

Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??
... My 3yr old helped with blade/scale swapping again. He's getting pretty good at tightening the clip screws.... What a Native parade... :) The Native 5 is good (had the LW in S35VN) for me though other models in that size range work even better performance- and ergo-wise. Still: This model just l...

Re: Would anyone else like to see the Delica get a forward finger choir?
Unnecessary, imo. If I really need to choke up on a Delica, I find it comfortable enough to just rest my index finger in the indentation formed where the the scales meet the ricasso. I think adding a choil to choiless knife alters the design enough to create an entirely new model. A "Delica wit...
