Re: Spyderco UTILITY Knife...

Missed this thread for the last few days as been busy with work. Please No. I carry a knife so I don’t have to use a Stanley knife type. (And it goes against my creating waste and trying to stop consumables ethos) I actually have disbelief and annoyance every time I find one of these blades on the ...

Re: Spyderco UTILITY Knife...

People complained about the cost of the Tenacious 8cr at $50, how can an exspensive throw away razor blade knife compete? There will always be people who complain about knives made in China, regardless of cost or materials used. Even that being the case, are you saying that the Tenacious is unsucce...

Doing a blade swap?

Yep :)
I think I've swapped these two models five times now. They're back to their factory forms now.

Re: Spyderco UTILITY Knife...

If you feel the need to spend $50 or more on an elite version to break down your cardboard boxes for recycling, open your mail, more power to you. Can we not make the same case for any knife? If you feel the need to upgrade from your gas station knife to a PM2 " to break down your cardboard boxes f...

Re: Spyderco UTILITY Knife...

I'd likely buy one. Sometimes you need a blade capable of cutting against concrete and other super abrasive media. Why not have a Spyderco chassis? I don't think the design or quality/cost needs to be catered towards the previously mentioned general "Home Depot" crowd who treat knives as disposable....

Re: What "Other" is in your pocket???

I've kind of been on an olight kick this past year, just got this new keychain one Nice spread of lights! I got the i1R 2 EOS for free during one of Olight's sales last year. Fantastic little light! Turbo mode is super bright for being so small. My primary light is the Perun Mini, but the i1R 2 is ...

I've been using my LC200N/Salt 2 with the Wharncliffe blade at work lately...

Wharncliffe for the win! :D
Seriously, with a negative blade angle, it's my favorite blade shape for normal everyday cutting.

Re: Benchmade Bugout Omega Spring Failure

I've had two Benchmade knives, both suffered broken omega springs within the first year of use. I replaced the springs with guitar string (don't recall what gauge) and never had that issue again. While I also generally prefer a good backlock/midlock, I still like the axis lock. However, like you, I ...
