Re: LC200N / Caribbean SE torture test gauntlet of death
Really nice test. Got me excited to get a serrated native 5 salt to go with my plain edge one. I recall an online review where the atlantic salt cut a car tire in half steel belts and all. Id bet the carribean could do it as well.

Re: Golden, CO made Wish List?
If we get lightweight versions of the native chief and lil native to go with the native 5 I will be happy. I would also really like to see a second production version of the shaman. Just give it a tough steel. All these sprints and exclusives are fun and all but a non s30v production version that I ...

Re: How’s the Native Salt treating you?
Joking aside, for how I carry most of my salts, a stiff action thats hard to open is a big plus. Especially if its like that from the factory and still in spec, as opposed to an overly tightened pivot screw. I was a beach lifeguard for most of my 20s, so ive got alot of experience carrying salt seri...

Re: LC200N / Caribbean SE torture test gauntlet of death
Ive got a longterm torture test that I want to do for some lc200n blades starting next year. They revolve around neglect and not cutting so this probably doesnt add anything to your post. However I cant wait to experiment and see what happens. Lc200n definitely needs to get beat on by us spyderco us...

Re: Does Spyderco Loctite their pivot screws?
Pretty sure tha answer is sometimes but on the chef and many others the answer is yes. Watch some disassembly videos online. Might have to take a hair dryer to it.

Re: How’s the Native Salt treating you?
Mines great. Going to get a serrated one on my next knife order. Just waiting until next years catalog to see whats new. Besides the pacific salt 2 of course. I also have the chief, cruwear g10 native 5, and s110v native 5 lightweight. If I were honestly ranking all those locks at a 10 out of 10, th...

Re: Newbie with knife steel question...
Save yourself the worry of picking a steel and get the shaman. The pm2 is an amazing slicer but you will have to be mindful of the tip. If you get careless with it, or more likely let someone else use it, that tip is the only weak point and sometimes stuff just happens. Im aware of all the ways some...

Re: Waterway Options Poll
Im at a crossroads. I have and have enjoyed serrated h1 for years. Got a couple pe h1s and as I already knew found edge holding to be lacking. Then lc200n came and ive been going down the road of having a collection of serrated h1 for when I want serrations and pe lc200n for when I dont. However aft...

Re: Is my waterway underperforming or do I have unrealistic expectations?
It sounds like plain edge lc200n to me. Ive got several knives with it right now. I think the steel got hyped a bit online. While its definitely better than pe h1, it isnt going to hold an edge as well as alot of other steels in the price range. The price you will pay for extreme corrosion resistanc...

Re: Official 2020 Discontinued List
Hey sal, thanks. Good to hear the formula wont change too much. I cant wait to get some bidirectional frn on the pac salt 2. I was asking about a regular (not coated black) blade with a black handle, as the salt 2 in the current catalog doesnt have that option like the pacific salt 1 does right now....

Re: Official 2020 Discontinued List
Will the pacific salt 2 lose the option of a satin blade with black handle like the salt 1 to salt 2 transition did? Also I know everybody is saying they would love some flat ground lc200n but I would be thoroughly dissapointed if the sabre ground h1 option wasnt available. The more options the bett...

Re: Native Chief Lightweight
I just for whatever reason love bidirectional frn. When I give it the old thumb test its the grippiest stuff out there. If a Native Chief ltwt were produced I would probably buy every version of it. I believe I recall it being mentioned on here somewhere, cant remember which discussion, that the lil...

Re: s90v SHAMAN IS OUT
Really like pretty much everything about the shaman. Probably the most comfortable ergonomic knife ive ever used. Feels perfect for my hands. As some have mentioned I would definitely be in for a lightweight version. With bidirectional texturing of course. Even if we lose some of the contour in the ...

Re: Endela-thread
I too was really hoping for a foliage green sabre ground combo edge version. A bit sad to hear a sabre grind isnt planned. Any idea on if there will at least be a combo edge option?
