I've used the liquid ceramic stovetop BKF with great success as well.

Thanks Holland.
Just back from said family function and even though I left the Millie at home the "R" got a comment on its blade size. Oh well, different strokes I guess.

Take it from Barman, BKF is good stuff. ;)
Whenever I do a sharpening job I clean the rods afterwards with BKF and finish with a few passes on the freshly cleaned UF rods. Perfect finishing touch and really makes the blade pop. :)

My new Nishijin "R"!
Excellent quality and a smooth action. Fits my big hand perfectly.
Loving the Nishijin handle so much I just ordered a bunch more (different models though) I'll have some more photos up soon!

I also have a few "q"s but other then looking cool they are useless just to flimsy and old. Them's fighten words to us Q users and collectors. I've carried a Q for years without ever being let down. Granted the lock can be overpowered, the FRN abused if torqued, though as with any tool kn...

Family function this evening so the Ti, "Why do you need a knife that big you psycho?", Millie is getting shelved in lieu of my semi-custom Caly 3.5 carbon/VG-10. Much more civil(ian)ized. But I see that my new Nishijin "R" is waiting for me at my PO Box. Hmmm, too many options. ...

Same here. Picked up the plain blade G10 and liked it so much picked up the Ti as well. Some bored conversat...

These internet arguments of self defense scenarios make me laugh really hard. Yeah, we carry everything we think we need for a day in our dangerous environments. I've got my shotty right next to me just in case someone on the interwebs intimidates me too much :) Any knife you carry could or could n...

Nice acquisition. I recently picked up a Smallfly and I love it. Off topic, Barman I see you're from Saratoga. Its funny I just got home from there. I was at SPAC Friday and Saturday. Great time! :D I bought the Spyderfly back when it sold for just over $100 IIRC and it sat around for a while. Lent...

For as much complaining that's going on in this thread, BBS is getting some serious advertising.
And honestly, they'll sell every one of them at their advertised price and most of them will never see the outside of a safe.

Right now I'm carrying one of my Millies, but if I'm subjecting an EDC to heavy use I carry an Endura due to their availability and good price. Got a bunch of them. I've even given some away on the job.
