How about Ceramic parts where possible, but esp. a ceramic blade, and a second set of G-10 scales to isolate and cover the unavoidably metallic parts. I don't think recessing alone would/could be deep enough to prevent arcing. Metalic clips would be right out of course, thus eliminating the problem ...

I was wondering what Spydie might have a similar grip to the Civilian, but that picture awnsers my question.

Nah, Patogordo, am not interested in collector's pieces at this time; I like to be able to use my tools. Besides, I am trying to modify my tip up reflexes into tip down reflexes. Transposed tip up/down; most(all?)of the biggest Spydies are tip down, and I will be purchasing more of these as sisters ...

Although I have never handled it, the S/S Police has always struck me as extremely handle heavy.
BTW I own a G-10 Police and am planning to get the one of the last versions of it, which have the Boye indent.

What are the all the different handle variations on the cricket? Specifically was there ever a G-10 run? Many of you forumites have been SpyderNuts longer than I have. The G-10 Blade uses flat grinds from serrations to spine, and as a result has a full length distal taper, as oposed to the short distal taper at the tip, formed by the hollow and swedge grinds. When is the last snow in the Golden area? I have been toying with the idea of a pilgramage to visit Spyderco and take a level 1 course. To save money I would be camping, but I have no experience camping in the snow.
