The last mention I remember from Sal is that they had quite a bit of the material left (the blue especially I believe)...
Blue you say? Isn't that similar to the blue used for the SPY-27 color? Sal said he'd like to do a run of the Endura family in SPY-27. I'm just saying...

Re: Whither Nishijin?

I would like to see an aluminium set of scales for the Chaparral like the PM2 sprint (but not with the very aggressive texturing; it's too much). But I don't see that happening. There are many more interesting materials than aluminium.

Sal, should you read this: Can you share anything now - two years later - on how the sales of the Endela go and if they speak for an "Endela Salt" ? Does anybody know if we can make inferences about other Endelas on the market and the overall sales of the model? It has had two exclusives ...

These machined scales are an absolute pocket shredder BTW.
Have you found anything to help with this? They are a pocket shredder; so much so that I've considered making a trade on r/spyderswap as I don't really carry it. But I really like everything else about the knife.

Re: Stretch XL discussion

I wonder what this knife looks like when disassembled. For those people wanting after-market scales, I wonder if Knife Center will do their exclusive with this model (they did for the P4). That way you'd get your full liners for micarta scales.

Re: Wharncliffe Endura Sprint

I wonder how big the new Seki sprint run will be. I believe the last one was VTOKU-2. The lineup has grown a bit since then. Will every knife in every configuration get the new steel? I'm guessing not. Never hurts to start campaigning now I suppose. I'd talk to places who have Seki exclusives. I'd l...

Larrin's article about Magnacut on Knife Steel Nerds made the front page of Hacker News. Cool to see to of my hobbies collide like that.

Re: BladeHQ PM2 Aluminum-scale Exclusive

Not sure if this has been mentioned, but I looks like this model will come out in three more colors. At around the 3:00 minute mark of the video below, you will see the included paperwork for the knife. It states that, in addition to blue, green, and purple, the knife will come in red, black, and or...

Re: Grail/Dream Spyderco EDC

I don't know about grail, but I love the P4LW. It is not so much the size but the handle shape + forward choil. I wish this combination was the standard for Delica, Endelica, Endura. That way I get the ergos I like in the size appropriate for the job/setting.

Re: BladeHQ PM2 Aluminum-scale Exclusive

I broke down and ordered the green one. Earlier I decided I was going to get one. Then I decided I should just use what I have. But then I don't currently own a PM2. I was busy with work at launch, so I figured they would be gone. And then there they were. I held out as long as I could. I am a weak ...

Welcome. There are so many different ways to answer these questions. I would caution you to seek out other advice as I am not the most knowledgable person. The thread on the Community Sharpening Journal is a good place to start. Big Brown Bear has a great YouTube channel (he also posts here as Deadb...

Re: Random: General Spydie Chat

With all the talk about Magnacut, it got me thinking about 20CV, 204P, and M390. The three steels are analogues. How does another company go about making an analog of Magnacut? As long as they use a different process to make the steel, can a company use the same elements? Do they have a pay a licens...

Re: Random: General Spydie Chat

Expecting a wholesale change in steel seems unreasonable. I have been a part of some threads talking about S45VN taking over for S30V. Mr. Janich stepped in and said something to the effect of S45VN being used on the PM2 and Para3. That's it. It wasn't a harbinger of changes to come across the entir...

Re: BladeHQ PM2 Aluminum-scale Exclusive

This one is, surprisingly, tempting me too. I don't have a PM2 in my collection. I've been waiting for the "right" one (not sure what that would be). The scale choice really has me interested. This might be my first foray into trying to get a sprint at launch. Wish me luck!
