Re: Janisong not available in US?
They are still legal where I live and I still want to buy one. I have been offered them on the secondary market but always for $400 or more.

Re: Torque and lightweight models
I have been around here for a while and while I have seen a handful of broken blades I have not seen many broken handles. I believe that even in a linerless frn knife the blade is still the weakest link. It’s gonna break or bend before the handle. I bought a StretchXL lightweight on Black Friday las...

Re: CCW revolver
I like revolvers. I have a 360 and a SP101. I carry the 360 but my version is long discontinued and the 360pd currently available is crazy expensive. I definitely recommend it but you can almost buy both a j frame and an lcr for that much money. My SP101 is the 3” version and it’s fairly heavy. I mo...

Re: Reveal 14 Live!
Things have been slow in Spyderville for a while and my attention has waned but holy smokes this reveal is incredible. Ceramic Mule? S110V and Crucarta Military2? Bodacious? StretchXL Salt? I better get my wallet ready because the cash is gonna be flying out of it!

Re: Batoning Enuff 2?
I have found vg10 to be durable. I abused a Schempp Rock for quite a while. I put a slight bend in it at some point but it never broke. You would only be making kindling with something the size of the Enuff2 so you should be fine. Just don’t try to force it through any tough knots. I use a small twi...

Re: About grounding/earthing
I don’t know much about it but I spend a lot of time outside barefoot. I’ve always heard my hippie friends talk about being barefoot for grounding. I’m not much of a hippie, more of a country boy, but I am almost always barefoot when working in the garden. I have done it since I was a kid and as I h...

Re: Why do knife enthusiasts frequently ignore kitchen knives?
I like nice kitchen knives but I have a hard time investing too much or getting too many because my kitchen is shared by many. Most people don’t know how to treat a nice knife and that includes some of my friends and family. I have a few I like but I have seen them abused in every way imaginable. Kn...

Re: XL knives to look forward to
The Military has been my favorite knife for years. The first knife to compete with it for me is the StretchXL. Absolutely amazing! I also enjoy the Chief and Police4 but not quite as much as those two. I find that 4” is the perfect size folder for me. I eagerly await more knives that size as well as...

Re: A look at the Calypso Sprint
Isn't the cruwear Stretch the same knife just with a straight spine and jimping? It’s a much slimmer knife with a different blade shape. It compares better with the Chief which may be the better knife. ?? Did I read that wrong? The Chief is noticeably thicker than the Cruwear S2XL The profile is mu...

Re: A look at the Calypso Sprint
I have the brown sprint and enjoy it. One of my biggest regrets in this hobby was not buying one of the micarta versions years ago when they were still all over EBay for reasonable prices.

How about just an LED flashlight and seat belt cutter? there's a patent out there somewhere with an led built in to a manix handle, if i recall correctly. Link to the related patent, for those who may be curious: https://patents.google.com/patent/US20210347067A1/en imagine charging your cell phone ...

I hope there are more Stretch2XL on the way. I have sadly seen big knives struggle over the years. This is a stellar design that I would eagerly spend more money on.

Re: Camp knife - recommendations
If I was gonna be sticking it in a fire and trying to do camp chores with it then I would just get a cheap 12 inch machete.
That said, just stir the fire with a stick and get a decent camp knife. There are tons of great options.
