The .45 FMJ's were the OG of the .45 ---- for one thing , they will feed a lot better then most other types of bullets thru very old 1911 type autos that do not have a ramped brl or a "throated chamber" as most modern 1911s do now. Also -- Ball ammo was the "standard" argeement ...

I just picked one up from KC it got here today :) I also got a boker plus wharnie that I'm less than impresse with. You mean the Boker+ G4? What's wrong with it? For a 30-40 dollar knife, i think it's pretty good, also uses 440 steel and is black coated. Liner lock takes some time to break in but o...

There is one on here posted somewhere that has the blade modded so it's ground further down. Either way, it's an awesome knife. Yeah I saw those pics, don't think it was Brad but that other guy with the dog logo who did them XD. Not sure how I feel about regrinding the blade, seems like it would ta...

In terms of reliability and role, difference between types of ammo?

So I just stocked up on ammo, getting ready for the second coming and all  50 rounds .45 FMJ by a russian company (Tulammo) 100 rounds of Federal .45 ball ammo and 20 rounds of .45 hollow points (Corbon) My question is, what is the purpose of each type of round? I know the hollow points ar...

At first i didn't think i'd like how half the blade isn't usable because it isn't even sharpened, but in all honesty, it's a great lightweight blade that can be used for edc and self defense pretty well. Of course not as good of a grip as my temperance 2, but they really complement each other, i thi...

I am about to say something that would cause my more gun-snobby friends to beat me viciously about the face and neck... but it honestly doesn't matter all that much. Don't take that to mean that you should rub your pistol down with turpentine and bleach... or at least if you do, don't blame me for ...

What would I use to clean/polish/lube my 1911?

Preferrably something from walmart or an easily findable store :)

Mine has that blued finish, not sure if tuffcloth would do the trick on that

Double Tap ammunition DOES NOT mean 2 holes/1 bullet

....I felt like a total idiot when I looked up double tap ammo online once i got home.....DO NOT BELIEVE WHAT SALESMEN SAY, especially "wild west" stores that sell some fairly modern guns. He basically showed me the double tap box and pointed out the two entry holes on the logo, and said t...

Yeah it's usually pretty expensive because its become somewhat rare, but there ARE pdf files online, not that it's at all convenient to read a book that way.

2 weeks without internet

Really took a toll on my brain- felt like half of it shut down. Whenever I don't know something, Mr. Google tends to have an answer to all of my questions. These 3 weeks have been **** since I moved out here to Texas into a new house. Humid as ****, and giant spiders all over. Oh, and we're currentl...
