Great photos and thread. Thank you Wouter and others. Stand-outs to me were the Szabo, Air, Southard, and Foundry. Techno, Southfork, and Tuff also look really nice. I would also be excited about the Perrin Bowie if I did not have one, which I really like (by the way). The Caly 3 and 3.5 also look g...

I look forward to this thread every year! I like the look of the Air. I wish it had a lanyard hole, though. Maybe a lanyard could be attached to the last stand-off? Lanyard hole would be better though. The Nilakka looks very interesting. Given the deep-carry clip, I would like to see a lanyard hole ...

FRN is probably the most strength per ounce over Titan or ? FYI, we have a small fixed blade in-the-works (2.75" blade, skeletonized handle, FRN scales, sheath). sal I am not particularly interested in ultralight (Spyderco lightweight is already perfect for me), but I do like small fixed blades...

I guess my question is, at what point is it a "fake"? I know it is complicated but would a non-logo Persistance made by the same company in China that makes them for Spyderco be a fake? I think maybe I am more sensitive about the idea of a 'fake' than others, but my opinion is that there ...

That is interesting to hear v8r. I bet you are right.

I am curious what the most durable lock-type is in terms of longevity under normal use. I would guess the lockback, but I don't know? Has Sal ever mentioned any testing in this regard?

 Grrr. Even blades with nail nicks can be opened with one hand if enough of the blade/spine is exposed. People have been using folding knives for hundreds of years, the need to use a knife isn't going to go away. It is just legislation for legislation's sake. I'm hoping there are some official...

That's great! Doug Ritter is a good guy and the list of knife companies that support Knife Rights is good company.

Knife Rights is making a difference in the USA. I am a member and I would encourage anyone who likes knives to join. Restrictive knife laws are not a matter of 'when' in this country, unless we fail to act. 'When' will be 'never' if we are successful in our efforts to stand up for our rights and edu...

Great catalog. I think I enjoyed reading this one more than the regular catalog. I like the Caly 3 description - the perfect knife for the gentleman warrior. Thank you for remembering the defense-minded civilians as well! :spyder:

My Ti Millie is already more than 60% across from normal use. It is a Ti model without the steel insert. I don't feel it is unsafe but I do feel like it has worn rather quickly from only one year of use.I plan on sending it in for them to check it. It's possible it will stop moving? Sometimes Ti RI...

I'm glad CRK spiffed up your Sebenza so quickly JN. Very nice.

So it looks like the replaceable insert has been used on the 2 Militarys, and I think it was on the proto Lionspy. Is that everything so far?

I hope Spyderco continues to use it, especially on the expensive and 'hard-use' models.

Thank you for the reminder on the replaceable wear bar; that totally slipped my mind. I think that is a great move by Spyderco, and pretty much answers my 'question'. :)

I also have a SS Cricket with the lockbar touching the opposite scale, but there is no vertical play. It has been this way since it was new, and has not developed play. It has been used often, but not as EDC, so it is hard to say how long it might take to develop vertical play (if ever). I also had ...
