Golden Spydies' countersunk/flush screws stripping.
I've done this in the past just by removing them to locktite the screws. I could barely get them in tight again. Has anybody else had this horrid problem?

Re: Need advice for a trip to Asia
I don't see sand being too much more of an issue for the Manix than the Paramilitary. You'd have to almost try to get sand in the ball bearing to really cause any issues.

Re: Sharpmaker Troubles
Hi Swedeman, Welcome to our forum. Sorry for your frusration. Sometimes familiarity creates habits for which you are unaware? There are only 3 reasons why the Sharpmaker will not work well. 1) the stones re not clean and will take no more steel. Clean the stones with a course kitchen scrath pad and...

Re: Royale with cheese: The Amsterdam Report
I stay away from the Southard because of the other things you can get at that price point. Nothing against the knife except for only being tapped for righties.

Re: Reprofiling Manix 2 XL and first blood
Speaking of cuts with the XL, I've closed the blade on my middle finger, the nail barely stopped it and the flesh it did land on was cleanly sliced. That's the only Spyderco I've done anything like that with.

I'm more interested in the price point, it seems to have been made more affordable than the other Southard.Johnnie1801 wrote:Hey guys, I was just looking through the thread and was wondering if anyone knows what the blade steel will be for the Ion, will it be 204p again?

Then there's some people that don't know what a sharp edge feels like, and when they see your crazy sharp knife they think it's dull.

No, that wouldn't be needed. I'd just tape up the areas I don't want painted.

Would adding paint/dye to scales affect warranty?
If I add paint to the G10 or FRN of my knife scales, IE to the pores and crevices of the said g-10 or frn for cosmetic reasons (or in some cases practical) would that affect the warranty at all? Especially if it in no way affects the function of the blade?
